IMO we actually played well on saturday. Yes, we should be beating temas at home with 10 men, but we absolutely pummeled their goal for the last half an hour. By far deserved the 3 points. People starting to blame Pardew already is just a complete joke. I think he's made some decent signings and looking at the best 11 we have a real solid team as far as im concerned. The back 4 looked rock solid saturday (with Jaidi still to come in). Give Pardew time. Looking for instant success is unrealistic. Comfortable mid-table finish and then a real push nxt year. IMO he was man of the match yesterday. One of the very few players that actually looked like creating any chances. Put in 2 or 3 decent crosses after beating their left back yesterday. Looks to take people on and commit defenders (which cant be said for anybody else in the side). Probably our only real creative minded player. Id play him in the 'free role' behind Lambert and if that doesnt work then anywhere accross the middle.

Holmes back on the left side for us would be a massive lift. Especially if it meant finding another slot for Lallana, as IMO he's wasted out wide. What sorta club are we gonna loan him out to then? Non-League? Were already playing league one football. Couple of games in the reserves then straight back in the first team. Arguably our best player!

One of the worst Southampton performances ive ever seen. So dissapointing. Surely we have more to offer than what was on show last night!? I honestly believe Lallana has alot of potential. The first half of last season he showed alot of class. Often the only player who looked like creating anything. Let's not forget he was strongly linked with Spurs lsat year. Clearly he is'nt playing to the best of his ability, but i think he's so wasted out wide. He's not particulaly quick, and not strong. However it's hard to see where he's going to fit into the team, especially with the new lad Hammond coming in. Maybe in a Le Tiss like 'Free Role' behind Lambert? Any thoughts?? I think if we can get the best out of him he could really make a difference this year. Dissapointed with Pardew. I was frustrated that no changes had been made at HT, but with 10 minutes remaining and the same 11 out there? I don't get it... Lancashire, James and Wotton...just awful. Not good enough to play for this club. Tempting to put Patterson in that group aswel as I havn't seen anything to suggest otherwise. Looking foward to seeing Hammond on the weekend aswel as another signing hopefully. Early days but Big improvment needed

I dont think Surmans good enough TBH. Easily good enough for the championship, but for a team with premiership ambitions....... Same goes for Lallana at the moment

What about Lucas Jutkiewicz? Young striker at Everton, they signed him for over a million pre-season. He was tipped as a good prospect but he isnt getting a look in, even with there striker crisis. He's from Southampton so i reckon he'd be game!
