  1. Oh dear. It seems that, although you say you do understand, it is pretty clear you still don't. We are not talking here about attendances from nearly 60 years ago. We are talking about an investor looking at the latest facts and figures - so, last season. He sees an EPL club that has smaller attendances than it's neighbour 2 divisions below.
  2. I think what was meant was that club A has far more core support (and peripheral support) than club B wil ever have - hence the reference to club A being in League 1 getting larger attendances than club B in the Premiership. It has nothing to do with stadium size as it would still have been the case if both clubs, A & B, had 50k stadia. And that point IS relevant to an investor. Do you understand now?
  3. Apologies if this has been posted before, but this article is worth reading.... http://www.legalnewsupdate.co.uk/?p=561
  4. I can honestly say that I bought a ticket for the 2003 Final and it cost me £675 off a tout. Darned good seat, mind...halfway line etc. Enjoyed every minute (except the result).
  5. Just take a look at this thread....they are so, so, so deluded. http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=424&fid=203&sty=2&act=1&mid=2121776558 Didn't they also similarly eulogise 'Arry and StorrieTeller? You really would think that they would have learned by now...... You know, there are some times when I feel sympathy for the blue few and what they are going through then I B0ll0x, F ck 'em!
  6. AA's response.... AA's Response: "I am disappointed with the contents of your email. I will be in Portsmouth during thursday to saturday if you want to meet I will be pleased to correct you on the contents of your email and set the record straight. I take offence to your comment that we need to up our game. I do not accept anything you have said as constructive. Quite clearly the meetings with your various Group's have become counter productive. They were offered in good faith to create a dialogue between the supporters of the Club and the Administration team. In light of your current email and that the information you are taking away from the meetings is so far away from the mark, we are going to have to reconsider the necessity of any future meetings.
  7. big their fans up Isn't it Ian Darke commentating? He's a skate fan. Course he's gonna big 'em up. In reality, he must be embarrassed at all the empty seats! It truly is pathetic support.
  8. Thatcherites? That was 30 years ago. Give it a bloody rest and start living in todays world. This Labour government has been in power for the last 13 years and has has presided over one of the worst recessions ever, the ordinary man in the street is having to tighten his belt more than ever with high taxes and living costs and you still harp on about Thatcher! Get Real FFS.
  9. Without a rich buyer they are nailed on for liquidation.....there wont be a next season.
  10. Starts with a B, ends with a G and rhymes with HUNG
  11. Call me Mr. Cynical, but it wouldn't surprise me if the EPL are underwriting the fees for administration. They are the only one's in whose interest it is for Ploppy to get to the end of the season and fulfill their fixtures. After all Chanrai stated "he wouldn't be throwing good money after bad".
  12. PES, sometimes you come across as a decent bloke and fan, who talks a lot of sense.....but then you go and spoil it with just a touch of bitterness.
  13. Trouble is there may be one chairman at West Ham who may buy one of their players for, ooh, let's say, around £10 million......
  14. If Vantis' SoA does state that the club have been and still are trading insolvently (and it's a pretty fair assumption I'd say) and that also the directors of the club have seen this SoA, then surely they must be personally liable, at least from yesterday, for any debts incurred for knowingly trading whilst insolvent?
