  1. This is what drives me up the wall about the modern footballer and their inflated sense of entitlement. He is 8 months into a contract with us, with at least 3 1/2 years left on it, we are paying his damn wages (earning more in a week than I do in a year), and he's barely kicked a ball! Relegation should not have come as a surprise, given that he joined us when we were rock bottom of the EPL, so why doesn't get his head down, play some football and earn a move out of the club? We'd all love to see what he can do playing in the Championship, and was, along with Tella, one of those I was really looking forward to seeing what they could do for the team this season. We should 100% stick to our guns and refuse any deal below the release clause fee - after all , Kamaldeen signed the contract which included that figure.
  2. Post of the day. Actually had me laughing out loud here in the office 🤣
  3. Loads of positives to take from today: The two centre backs looked great, with Bella-Kotchap the pick. He looks to be a fantastic proposition and hats off to our scouts for identifying him. Lavia has fine skill and looks assured in the centre of the park - another wonderful prospect. Although he looks miles off actually getting the ball in the net, AA put in some good work down the left, setting up a couple of good chances, including the best chance of the 2nd half for Aribo. As a team, we looked right and compact, and defended very well - throwing their bodies on the line with the triple block. Then going forward, we showed patient build up play moving the ball with plenty of touches inside the United box. Negatives: Where's the cutting edge coming from against a well-drilled and tightly packed defense? For all the good build up play, we only managed to muster a handful of decent goal chances. I was disappointed with Aribo today, as was looking forward to watching him today. I would like to see him be more direct and move the ball quicker, but I do think there's a real player in there. JWP had a quiet day today and didn't break forward or get involved around the box enough. His delivery is key to us creating chances, and it was his dead ball delivery today where we looked most dangerous today.
  4. Thanks for posting a sensible and structured analysis, rather than the howling 'woe is me, we're all doomed' response. It's good to hear the positives, as well as the negatives. Glad to hear that Lavia sounds like a great player in the making - looking forward to seeing more from him, and Aribo.
  5. f**king spanner ... Shameful lack of belief in the team you claim to support. Learn to get a grip in future.
  6. He's a free agent, so no transfer fee is a pretty good bargaining chip. Plus if Newcastle are also interested they would be able to offer better terms than us.
  7. Rusnak would be a quality signing but guess wages may be an issue.
  8. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/19838392.southampton-made-favourites-sign-uniteds-dean-henderson/ We can but hope 🤞
  9. 11 Vs 11 Saints were bossing it and looking to be cruising to a comfortable win. We go down to 10 and suddenly we can't put a finger on a team in the bottom half of the Championship. Can't get my head around this.
  10. The total lack of impartiality on BT Score drives me fucking mad. Bunch of utter twats... Who even knew Steve Sidwell played for Chelsea, but he just celebrated that goal like a lifelong supporter.
  11. The best part of that injury time equaliser, other than rescuing a point, was seeing practically the whole of the BT Sport panel go silent after whooping and clapping the Newcastle second moments before. Nice unbiased commentary as usual. . .
  12. Most folk will just be relieved that it didn't get any worse.
  13. Utter brilliance from JWP, another free kick stunner!! Game on? COYRs
