Yep, no problem. That'll be a £10m loan fee with an obligation to buy at the end of the season for another £10m. Just sign here....
Loan will work just fine under that structure.
Seems like a very similar saga to Quincy Promes. He is now he isn't now he is......
That ended well. Some Russian club and then fell foul of the law. Did he even end up in prison?
I'm not even sure we're in for this Genk guy, probably just his agent using us and Leeds being the obvious candidates. RM did say some rumours were well wide of the mark.
If we are it's just a route to get rid of Tall Paul.
Why are people so keen to write off / ditch Sulemana?
He's could be brilliant at this level, and he certainly doesn't have less end product than Sam (one goal doesn't make a summer, although hopeful for many more)
Most Loans involve fees as well. Some might only be wages but not many.
They're really no different to buying someone on a one year contract before giving them back to the parent club after. If there's a compulsory purchase tied in (DCC?) then it's simply a way of structuring cash flow rather than amortising over the true contract length.
Arma is better in a deeper role, Onuachu is not suited to our style (and isn't good enough), Mara isn't a starter (and isn't good enough), Ballard isn't a starter but could be the real deal in time.
To me it's glaring. We need to keep Che and add another. If we lose Che we need two.
