  1. Interesting, the shuffle may be better, will watch out for this a bit more and see how others deal with it
  2. Genuine question - what is he supposed to do when unsighted? I assume he leans one way to try and get a view of the ball (which seems sensible). If he leans left it’s the same problem to the right, if he stays unsighted he’s unsighted so that’s not great either (but is that technically what he’s supposed to do)?
  3. I didn’t read your post like that - read it more that we don’t need to replace because they’re banging them in and will improve. I just don’t see Armstrong scoring the goals to take us up that che could. Thought his movement 1st half was ok / poor. When we’re static at the back it’s a hard job for him I admit but didn’t think he offered much at all. If someone is going to stay static up top they need to be able to win headed ball. Ches movement, including dropping a little meant we had players between lines and it opened up space in a way Adam couldn’t manage. Liked him wide, liver his effort and do hope he’ll do well but not sure we play in a way that is ideal for his talents
  4. If one of the two that’s been banging them in is Armstrong then you may have seen his goals on teletext only! Offers so little movement in the centre (although much greater movement out wide). There’s a need for a good striker for sure - if they are already at the club or not is up for debate, never a better chance to blood Ballard. If che stays and plays I agree he’s going to score a good amount
  5. Agree about Charley. Got in to game when Adam’s went up top. Adams created space and Alcaraz has ball moving fwd rather than static back to goal. AA doesn’t cut it in that system up front at all. Liked him wide and his energy was great but first half made next to no runs and offers little in terms of back to goal or balls swung in. Felt for edoize first half. With full back so deep and narrow he is always 1 v 2 and little surprise no end product. the system is great when the oppo is set. But when we break a line we need to be in a position to move fwd quickly and not there yet. A few times we seem to just wait for them to get set. charles looked good and helped us get a better hold I felt. exhausting to watch!!
  6. sweet - he could be good in 7-10 years then!
  7. Martins wording was a bit odd - not being deliberately obtuse but he was coming from a different direction. Said only one question over tmrw - then when asked about sulmana said he wasnt going cause injured. So to me that meant that there is one that is up in the air rather than only one that isnt available
  8. Right - now he’s gone can anyone explain his weird start to his time at the club?
  9. Hang on!! Are we Premier League xChampions this season?
  10. If that’s a penalty then the free kicks taken from the wrong place for the first and Walcott is fouled for the second. Not sure why I feel like making excuses for AMM. Just doesn’t give a shit.
  11. The way I saw it he fell over so his arms were in a natural position for the situation, he’s not making himself bigger (trying to get his arm out the way). Can’t see why chest first is relevant to the laws personally but I’ve given up a bit!
  12. Really wish var was mic’d up. No handball law broken by abk, can see why it looks bad but be nice to have Utd fans taken through it step by step so it’s clear for them. Same for the red. Would help stop all this shit about them being hard done by
  13. Don't know the answer to that. What i would say though is like all things footy (manager choices, player transfers) there is an element of timing, luck and situation about them which means the same player/manager can be more or less of success by doing the same things. Picking up the club after Jones with a clear need to pull together may be an easier situation for him to join than after ralph leaving. Not an easier job to get the points needed but after Jones the club was ripe for being galvanised. Not belittling this approach in the short time but the fans are on side immediately following Jones, backed up with a great result admittedly. After Ralph, even though it was time to go, would he have been seen as anything other than the cheap option and would the players have rallied in the same way? Dunno the answer to that question either but sometimes things work out in football that are simply situation and I'm hoping the start of his management career at saints works like that!
  14. i guess we can offer him a guarantee to start in every prem game until the end of the season. There are very few clubs ( well... probably - ive not checked) other than us that dont have someone else seriously looking to play up front. Maybe it will be low risk for him (some sort of release clause with relegation and if someone else eg top 6 comes in for him he can go). If hes looking to kick start his career then maybe its a decent way of doing it. We play the stepping stone card so maybe thats it. Someone like everton for example may not be as open to these sorts of arrangements. Or could all be complete bollocks and were not even looked at him of course
  15. He went down because he got trodden on… it wasn’t a foul though, 100% a football coming together that is supposed to be allowed to play on. Pathetic
