  1. Yep - spot on and well said on both points. But in true Saintsweb style the hard-of-thinking still search desperately for the worst in every possible thing to do with Saints. Sigh.
  2. Wouldn’t blame the club its stance either.
  3. They probably have someone they want hence why only offering Marsch a short-term deal as the #1 candidate isn’t available at the moment, or deemed likely to “hit the ground running” to increase our chances of staying up.
  4. Spot on. Would be a crazy appointment; he had Leeds on a terrible run -> the sack, so what makes people think he'd do any different with us?
  5. Have to agree with you (but hope we’re both wrong). I think he’ll be in charge for the next game. Would actually be very interesting to hear from Manji - he always seemed to have some inside info on SR’s thinking.
  6. Can’t remember- may have been on the big “Ralph’s gone - official” thread.
  7. Saint Garrett (I think) kindly posted a summary of Selles’ mtg with the players as soon as Ralph had gone. Would be really interesting if he’s able to do the same for Jones’ first mtg.
  8. Everton fans thought they had hit the jackpot with Lampard. Villa fans thought the same with Slippy G. No one here wanted Poch - he can’t even speak English FFS!! Fans should have no influence whatsoever on the choice of manager and to think those making the decision would look here or take note of a poll is naive stupidity. If SR get this wrong the’y’ll see tens of millions wiped off the value of their asset. I reckon they’re smart enough to have realised this. All the signs are that they have been researching Ralph’s replacement for a long time; we’ve also heard from 2 people on here who seem to have contacts that 30m (huge money for us) is still available for players in Jan. SR didn’t suddenly sack Ralph and then think “wtf are we going to do now?” We have to trust they know what they’re doing - I do because the the spend they committed in the summer shows they have ambition and the club’s best interests at heart.
  9. Interesting though that it’s almost entirely negative “speculation” they comment on. Not calling them bed-wetters, melts, snowflakes etc, just saying…………..
  10. Almost as if some people are incapable of rational thought.
  11. What does the D in Dman stand for?…depressed?
  12. I’m getting confused…..I thought morale was dogshite because RH, Semmens and Toby haven’t got a clue what they’re doing??
  13. But if you read on this forum, Stephen’s and Valery are shit and shouldn’t be anywhere near the team so he would have been slated for playing them there. Plus JWP has been playing more forward this year (as per his recent Echo piece) so it would have been a waste of our best player to put him there. I’m not a RH apologist but I think his hands were slightly tied on this.
  14. You do understand that he had to play Djenepo as Peraud only had two weeks of training and couldn’t play 90 minutes. KWP was chosen to try and nullify their threat on our right. Who else did he have to call on to play on the left?
  15. You can add biased, agenda-driven, unable to listen, with a startling lack of awareness of reality to the list too. Embarrassing.
