  1. Wherever we go no doubts the muppets/part-time Saints will be out in force - abusing the locals, burning the local currency (Bucharest 2013) and giving it "large".
  2. An interesting article by Gab Marcotti in the Wall Street Journal of all places. http://online.wsj.com/articles/southamptons-pelle-makes-up-for-lost-time-1411936232?KEYWORDS=marcotti
  3. I have had this response from the Ticket Office regarding tickets for the Brighton away friendly on 31 July: "At present we have know (sic) plans on selling the Brighton game, tickets will need to be purchased direct from them, however if this changes, we will advertise on our website."
  4. Pete Doherty of The Libertines & Babyshambles is a QPR fan, he used to produce a Rangers fanzine, entitled "All Quiet on the Western Avenue". I love trivia.
  5. A little 3ft man sat on the bench for Saturday's game, kitted out in full saints gear. Sounds like ex-Saint (briefly), Sammy Lee.
  6. "You also need to list the average for 3rd Place +1pt as that's what you need for 2nd place, so will probably be a couple of points less than the 87 average that 2nd place ends up with". A very good point and a very interesting result. The average for 3rd place is 81 points (median is 80). Based on this average plus 1 point, a further 22 (7 wins 1 draw and 6 defeats) from the last 14 games would normally bring automatic promotion. But as soeone once said: "It's a funny old game, Saints!"
  7. I have analysed the Championship / Division 1 tables for the last 10 seasons and here are the Average and Median points totals for automatic promotion and to make the play-offs: 1st 2nd 6th 94 87 73 Average 94 87 74 Median Based on these calculations 28 points from the last 14 games would normally bring automatic promotion. 15 points would normally mean a play-off spot. But in football anything can happen and probably will.
  8. I live in Brighton so can collect a ticket at very short notice if anyone fails to show tomorrow. martinvegas@yahoo.co.uk
  9. Given the causes I am prepared to pay £100.

  11. Bad Week for: "Darren James, a Portsmouth fan, spent £1,019 listening to a 1-0 defeat against Fulham on his iPhone whilst on holiday in Egypt, thinking that the service was free."
  12. A good friend is in financial need, so I am selling these tickets for him on E Bay. See: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230382511280&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
