  1. Four out of our first league six games on TV, very good chance the Leeds game on 30th September will be as well I suspect. Almost certainly going to have more games on Sky than we've had in our last few seasons in the Premier League as we didn't seem to be a popular TV pick there.
  2. Haven't been able to find a summary of all the games yet. I found out by going through each of the five home games on sale now individually. Norwich and QPR are Cat B, Leicester and Leeds Cat A and Ipswich C : https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/first-five-home-games-of-2023-24-on-sale-to-saints-plus-members
  3. Agree re Kingsland Plus prices but I imagine most of that area is largely season ticket holders? Overall the match day prices aren't too bad really, particularly the Cat C ones (e.g. the Ipswich midweek one), given you can easily pay £20+ in League 2 and the National League now.
  4. I'm amazed it's as high as 52 as well, I think a fair chunk of those were in behind closed doors games.
  5. Remember this happening against Carlisle in League 1 where ticket purchases had been linked to the Man United cup game a week or so before. Unsurprisingly Carlisle didn't take a full allocation so blocks 43/44 of the Northam were open to home fans and I sat there...a handful of blokes in block 42 spent most of the game goading their own fans about being 'plastics'. Was quite a surreal experience and given this part of the ground would have been the away end for the cup game, most of the people sat there probably hadn't been to that one!
  6. I'm sure we will have more 3pms overall but can see us getting moved a lot as well as we don't get picked for TV that often in the Prem. Particularly early in the season as a recently relegated club, although having said that we're likely to come down with some other relatively 'big' clubs too.
  7. Flattered to deceive really for most of his time with us. I think in the current era he'd have been a really good Premier League player but 20 years ago most teams played a pretty standard 4-4-2 with box-to-box central midfielders which didn't really suit his style.
  8. The first season down wasn't great and we drew too much, spent large chunks of it in the bottom half. I think there were very briefly some worries about another relegation but we won five out of our last six at the end to finish 12th. The play off season in 06/07 was generally pretty good, we had a really strong run around the middle of the season, but I think most at the time were disappointed we never seriously challenged for the automatic promotion spots.
  9. My memory of the 2007/08 season was that we actually spent most of it bumbling around in mid table and that it was only fairly late on (caused by the Gorman/Dodd caretaker period) that we slipped into serious relegation trouble. Interestingly just looked at the table from that season and Leicester went down having conceded only 45 goals, the second best defence in the division! We had the second worst after some batterings at Preston, Sheffield Wednesday and Hull.
  10. Unless they get Nathan Jones in I can't see them going down. After Arsenal this weekend they then play Leicester, Leeds, Saints, Everton, Wolves and West Ham in a row! And they still also have to play Bournemouth and Forest.
  11. Ormerod stuck around for the first half of that Championship season before joining Preston, I don't think he started too regularly though. He had hardly played for us in the relegation season with loan spells at Leeds and Wigan. Although I seem to remember he randomly started the final game against Man United with Phillips on the bench!
  12. All things considered, given how bad our home form is, and for how long that's been the case, the atmosphere at St Mary's is nowhere near as bad as it could be!
  13. Still have to play the top 9 in our last 14 games, we're done.
  14. I remember that we signed the great Neil McCann instead! Have a vague memory of the fan Javi having some sort of role at the club (quite possibly an unofficial one) circa 2007 where he was a liaison to foreign players to help them settle in the area.
  15. Luton, Rotherham and Blackpool are the only Championship grounds I haven't been to so any of them, although the latter two are in the relegation battle. Also not been to Plymouth or Ipswich so would be good to see them come up.
