Pierre's Achievements

  1. AMN is defensevly horrendous. Leaves acres of space behind him and lets players run behind without even noticing. Constantly needs a midfield or forward to back him up
  2. Murat Yakin (after world cup) Alessio Dionisi Arne Slot Or if we go bold: Sabrina Wiegman Long shot: Unai Emry
  3. Ralph took us to the top of the premiership. with a pretty average side half way through last season, so calling for his head as soon as we have a bad run (with some injuries) is very short sighted imho. The people on here claiming it has been such a hard time watching Saints since Ralph took over have very short memories
  4. The slagging of Minamino and Redmond is too simple. Both look so much more comfortable and effective in a central role, but pretty poor out on a wing. When Mino was moved to a more central position he immediately looked better but was subbed 10 minutes later. I think Ralph is struggeling to find any players who are effective out wide. For me only Moussa looks like he's in his natural position there. I'de give him a go. Redmond on the wing is just frustrating dead alleys and back passes but through the middle he can shine.
  5. I think we're a bit hard on the new lads in the team. It not all down to 'quality'. They have all hardly played al season. We all give Ings the benefit of the doubt, 'being rusty' after a few wëks out. These guys need to build up match fitness too. I'm convinced they will improve if given longer runs in the team. Even Long wasn't as bad as he wa made out to be, but you need games to get that feeling for timing your runs. Ralph obviously had instructed the team to play more directly because he thought Fulham would drop deep. In fact they just came at us which meant we just gave away possession. It was corrected in the second half but still our passing was just to sloppy to create a lot. A lit of that I think is down to 'needing to read' each other on the pitch. Always hard with new players in.
  6. I think there was a lot less danger with the Brighton penalty, and that definately was not intentional. March on the other hand, purposely brought KWP down because he had misjudged the Vest pass. He tried to do it just outside the box but was late. I see no great injustice in the penalty
  7. Great shift from the lads. I think Lampard got his tactics right playing 3 pacey mobile players upfront and they really should have burried us in the first half. Bednarek was really stuggeling against Werner and Walcott was giving Chiswell way too much space first half. I don't agree with some people on here that he was better than Redmond. Redmond gave Bertrand al lot more support, than Theo gave KWP. Chelsea got complacent on the ball and with JWP, Ché, Romeu and Ings around we have the capability of punishing that. Can't believe the energy these guys give the whole game. Very positively suprised with Vest, and both full back were excellent once again. Nice cameo from Tella. Good show, and just a pity we didn't put that last cross in for the winner when the big lafs were still up there.
  8. The critism of Hojberg is unjustified and should be aimed at Ralph. What a bizarre choice for right- back. Surely we have better options if he wanted to test KWP? Even JWP would have made more sense
  9. Agree that JWP was one of our better player despite the odd stray pass, which all the players where suffering from. That what you get when you have lost so many home games, and are playing a must win game. PEH was suffering the most from the pressure and just looks so nervous. Romeu is normally more composed, but as someone else posted he is also often the biggest culprit of slowing down our game, by back and sideway passing, so I do get the preference for PEH. Hope this win will help him get back some confidence. I also think Long deserves more credit than he's getting. His high press put the whole team on the front foot. I'm not sure if Adams would have had that impact. And yes he should have scored, but was also very unlucky not to. For me the real disappointments where Cedric, who was shocking defensively and poor going forward. Vallery definately more of a threat. Redmond was also creating very little, which is even more frustating as he has shown how good he can be. Starting with Boufal and bringing on Redmond later might be a good idea for him to get his form back.
  10. forgot about JWP. Maybe even play him ahead of Romeu to save Rom to booking he always gets
  11. Fulham are no walk over. Play a strong team: ----------------McCarthy--------------- ----Bednarek---Yoshida----Danso----- Vallery---------------------------Vokins (if Bertrand is injured) ----------Hojberg----Romeu----------- ----Redmond-------------Djenepo----- ------------------Adams---------------- Subs: Gunn, Vestergaard, Cedric, Slattery, Armstrong, Boufal, Ings
  12. I have trouble believing these numbers. Marcus Rashford on 35k and a Gallagher, a academy player with no big transfer record, who has never been 1st team regular, on 40k? Wonder what the source is. A video game?
  13. Clubs still having some power instead of a world where football agents run the show.
  14. Also interesting that he got tired of getting the **** kicked out of him every game. Sort of explains why players who like to have the ball at their feet often struggle in the premier league
