Obviously joke of an election with all credible candidates disbarred or killed. That said he is still popular in Russia Seems to be a combination of: Russia always having an absolute Monarch or a dictator apart from a couple years under Yeltsin, who was bit of a clown drunk. Putin's total control of the media and opposition. China and Russia, along with others have proved its possible to to entirely shape most of the the population's thoughts through SM and news. I dont see how we can combat that except by closing down sites like X and Tiktok, and then how does that make us better than them?

    Good summary here https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2024/03/09/first-ukraine-shoots-down-two-of-russias-a-50-radar-planes-then-russia-prepares-a-replacement-a-50-so-ukraine-targets-the-replacement-at-its-factory/
  3. Blatant self interest over country - just like Boris Johnson, Truss and Trump himself. New York Times: Years before he played a lead role in trying to help President Donald J. Trump stay in office after the 2020 election or defended him in two separate Senate impeachment trials, Speaker Mike Johnson bluntly asserted that Mr. Trump was unfit to serve and could be a danger as president. “The thing about Donald Trump is that he lacks the character and the moral center we desperately need again in the White House,” Mr. Johnson wrote in a lengthy post on Facebook on Aug. 7, 2015, before he was elected to Congress and a day after the first Republican primary debate of the campaign cycle. Challenged in the comments by someone defending Mr. Trump, Mr. Johnson responded: “I am afraid he would break more things than he fixes. He is a hot head by nature, and that is a dangerous trait to have in a Commander in Chief.” Mr. Johnson, then a state lawmaker in Louisiana, also questioned what would happen if “he decided to bomb another head of state merely disrespecting him.” “I am only halfway kidding about this,” he wrote. “I just don’t think he has the demeanor to be President.” The comments came at a time when many Republicans who would later become loyalists of Mr. Trump were disparaging him and declaring him unfit to hold the nation’s highest office. Only later did they fall in line and serve as the first-line defenders of his most extreme words and actions. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/14/us/politics/mike-johnson-donald-trump.html#:~:text=danger as president.-,“The thing about Donald Trump is that he lacks the, debate of the campaign cycle.

Reckon its likely to be MBNA's meteor air to air missile. It has a declared range of 200km (which would have been enough anyhow) but is rumoured to be even more than that in reality.
  7. For me its the realisation that she will say or do anything to advance herself. LD to Tory to Trump. Remain to leave.
  8. Thats not how it works in 'talent' industries ie neither football or tv presenting.
  9. What is right for the mens game is probably not the same as what is good for the womens game and what is good for the broadcasters. The rights to Womens football are much much much cheaper. Mens prem UK cost £6.7billion for next four years, so around £1.65bn per year. The Womens Super League cost £8m. So its probably not so much an attempt to drive away viewers from mens football as about creating conditions to pay less for mens Prem League football by creating more competition and / or creating an audience for a cheaper sport.
  10. Heard somebody say on US TV. "Who really believes they are babies? If there was a fire and you could only save one six month old baby or 100 embryos which one are you going to choose?"
  11. For really effective time management you need to delegate the masturbation another team member. Id probably retain project manager on the coke though.
  12. This guy seems to have the passion and understanding needed.
  13. Not really - by that I mean I went on a Carribbean cruise and visited a few but for hours not days. Grand Cayman was 'fine'. Got a friend whose family is from Trinidad and loves it. Several people I know have been to Barbados and love that. Dominica (not Dominican Republic) is supposed to be unspoilt
