Koeman said about the Swindon game that we 'lacked a cutting edge' in front of goal and this was definitely an issue last year. Got me thinking, how much of MoPo's training regime was about finishing in open play? Alot of it seemed to be down to structure, positioning and fitness levels, which for the latter, Adkins had laid alot of the ground work. Anyone with a better knowledge of the the training schedule care to elaborate? Would be interesting if anyone has an insight into how RoKo has switched it up too...

I would guess it's more about our high pressing game & attractive football we play. Plus we are the 'in' club atm, the neutrals favorites, and ultimately viewed by the media as the best of the rest. The only thing worse than people talking about u is people not talking about u

Although we finished in the top 8 we are still being seen as one of the bottom 13. If we were one of the 7 clubs above us how much do you think shaw or lallana (and others) would cost to secure them? Or to put it another way, how much would united have to pay arsenal for shaw? The probable answer is they wouldn't sell unless the player forced it through or we got an offer 40-50m plus, and it would still be down to the player. Obviously this is all speculative but then so are the endless rumours. As with all transfers, comparisons are hard, taking in inflation and the individual nature of footballing talent. And as a footnote, surely the prize money from this year will cover any outstanding transfer fees we owe. Does the '27m debt' we have actually have any bearing on what sort of offer we accept?

so i don;t have the knack of made up gold like you do tbh i didn't even try this year due to wasting so much time last year. the only tickets I could get were fulham and I was only eligible for 1 seat. like i said, no fun.

As someone who can't afford the time or money to buy a season ticket, (and lets face it, a single ticket is no fun you've got to have a pair), I'm so fed up of being on a waiting list for everything. Season ticket holders already get a cheaper seat, and priority to away games. Living in London, the only away games i've managed to get to in the last few years have been sitting in with the home fans using friends seats at WHL and the bridge. For fairness, I'd much rather have a raffle where every 'member' gets first chance to buy tickets for one home and one away a season, you can buy or opt out, and over the course of a few years you would get a few big games, and an away game or 2 you might fancy. the current system isn;t really fair on anyone, even the points based system didn;t work, i got less points for going to a league cup game on a tuesday night than the arsenal game at home last season
