  1. What time would you expect Saints coach to arrive?
  2. First home match of the season and last home match of the season. I flew out to collect my Son from Austria on Friday and then drove 3 hours to watch this pile of shit, I can safely say I feel a bit cheated. St Mary’s really has gone down hill. Steak & Ale pie was cold and nowhere near as good as a Pukka pie. Tea was £2.60 each and undrinkable. They knew the hot water tasted disgusting, but still served it to me. The whole experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth and not just from the pie and tea. The supporter is now seen as a cash cow. There’s no value to any purchase. Even the merchandise is poor quality. A £500 experience that won’t be repeated for a while.
  3. Hi Dan, I was thinking about questions to ask Ralph for tomorrow’s prematch interview. I would like to know how preparation for a match against a bottom 6 club differs to a top 6 club. The dynamics of the game against Norwich will be different. Saints will be favourites. We will have more possession. Norwich will sit back and try to hit us on the counter attack. I’d also like to here a little bit more about Richard Kitzbichler. How much praise should he be given for Saints upturn and improvement in tactics and game management. Obviously it takes time to become acclimatised to the premier league. Are we now reaping the rewards because Richard understands the premier league better?
  4. Hi Dan, I had also noticed prior to your article that Saints were seemingly using an injury to re-energise or get tactical information to the players. As fan I would never highlight such a fact for obvious reasons, but I respect your investigative journalism and for coming on the Saints Forum to answer questions. The game is full of simulation and it is very difficult to prove if a player is feigning injury. If the Premier League wish to crack down on Saints, perhaps they should also crack down on all simulation, which ruins the game. Perhaps the Premier League could also explain some of its ridiculous weekly VAR decisions that are also making a mockery of the game. It’s a great time to be a Saints fan and I am so grateful for Ralph Hassenhüttl and the board for giving him time.
  5. My criticism of Broja is that he needs to work harder out of possession. He had 15 mins to run his socks off upfront and I don’t think he did enough for the team. Yes he’s a match winner, but too many times he left Winks free to connect the next attack. He has to develop this side of his game. Shane Long was fantastic out of possession and a real role model to Broja.
  6. Austria has a slang word ‘schas’. If you replace Has in Hassenhüttl with schas, you get ‘Schassenhüttl’. It changes his name from rabbit hutch to shit house😂 Sorry just a bit of fun. Personally I think Hassenhüttl is improving so I would never use this nickname but others might.
  7. Pambou and Ballard have impressed. Both look to have excellent futures ahead.
  8. The coaches most definitely haven’t. There is absolutely no structure or game plan. We are playing hoof ball.
  9. A brilliant documentary that has left me feeling sick. The bravery of the victims that have come forward. I am appalled that the FA and professional clubs allowed this to happen. It disgusts me. The number of children’s lives destroyed by these monsters. I will never forget or cover over such failings. We must never forget or allow this to ever happen again.
  10. I won’t get carried away with this win. Our first goal came against the run of play. Our 10’s did not start this game well and made a lot of poor decisions by not playing the way they were facing or simple. A better team would have capitalised on the poor back pass by Redmond or the cross field pass by Djenepo, or Djenepo turning to go down the line, when Armstrong was in perfect position to receive. I also watched Adam’s again cut back to his right, instead of finishing with his left. Redmond makes too many blind flicks. He needs to know where he’s playing. It’s instinctive but ultimately it gives away possession far too often. I also noticed the numerous times when we could have played forward, but decided to check back. Bournemouth were poor. Defensively very poor. They seemed like a team exhausted. They were slow. Saints have got to reintroduce good habits, but confidence and belief in the system will be very positive going forward. Hassenhuttl now needs to concentrate on improving the detail. Sad Jankewitz couldn’t get 15 mins. Missed opportunity.
  11. Expect Salisu to start, along with Stephens, Redmond and Jankewitz Vestergard, KWP, Diallo and Armstrong to be rested.
  12. We don’t know Turkish, but the reluctance of the player to use his left is costing Southampton. It’s a question I’d like Ralph to answer, rather than some of the safe questions Ralph is continually asked in interviews. We’ll talk about the worldie for a long time, but I’d prefer he finished with left foot from 3m at the back post.
  13. What a player Adam’s could be if he had a left foot. Yes he’s finished brilliantly with his right foot today, but watch the highlights he could have finished KWP’s cross at the back post with his left foot from close range. I cannot believe he’s not being coached on his left foot. Mane arrived with a poor left foot, but within a year of playing for Saints he became a balanced player. All Adam’s decisions are influenced by his inability to use or trust his left foot. I cannot believe the coaching staff aren’t working on this with him as it is seriously undermining his development. Will Ferry scored a great goal for the B team with his right because he’s working on being a balanced player. I just don’t understand why Adam’s is not more developed with his left foot. I also don’t understand why these type of questions are never asked at pre match interviews.
  14. Anybody thinking Hojbjerg was Not effective in this game is delusional. He started poorly giving the ball away, but had a very important role in this win. He is an important player in our system and we will miss him.
  15. Without an end product you cannot be MOM. Redmond you are part of the problem not the solution.
