  1. So Luke Shaw comes out and appologises and you take the pee. Do you ever start a topic, or just wait to pick holes in anyone else's contributions? And even then not really read them, and try to understand what others are saying. Point me in the direction of one of your new threads and let me see if I can pick holes.
  2. Perhaps I didn't word my thread correctly, what I meant was what do you want now. Perhaps people are misinterpretating what I was getting at. I too was dissapointed about the performance, team selection (although when announced felt it should have been good enough) and result, but because I didn't add swear words doesn't mean I wasn't upset, I was. If Rickie hadn't missed that sitter then we would have brought them back to ST Marys and then who knows. The Branfoot line was meant as sarcasm, although obviously that doesn't come accross well in print. What I was trying to say was that foreign managers don't care about the competition as much as we do, and their jobs are dependant on league results and positions rather than cup games, is that not why we got rid of Adkins, to go to the next level. Nicoll lost his job because of our league position and we were then subjected to the Branfoot era, that then I feel over time resulted in our downfall. My question is how do we move on from this, ie what do you want? How do you get back at the manager? What should the club be doing now?
  3. All this negativity about the game, team selection etc. what do people want sack the manager! How many managers are sacked because of a poor cup run, everything is determined by league success, perhaps he is looking out for number one. I remember Chris Nicoll being sacked for not finishing high enough in the league. Okay lets get the likes of Branfoot back at the club. Yes dissapointing performance, team selection and result, but what do you want the owner to do, get rid?
  4. Just as well it wasn't him missing the sitter in front of goal!
  5. I had assumed we had put out a bunch of school kids reading back towards where the team was shown. Team whilst obviously not the strongest looks okay to me. If we don't rotate the players when will they get match time to enable them to come in when needed in the league? Much rather have a full strength side at West Ham to take the smile of Allardyces face, hate the way they play.
  6. Would love him to get the winner against Manure last game of the season, to see us finnish higher than them.
  7. Just under 28K for a game against Stoke, who would never attract the floating supporter doesn't seem that bad, factor in the recent weather as well. But as for only just worth staying up for, I would say not
  8. If it is rescinded I hope they take note of every time he goes down as though shot for the slightest contact, which for a big man he does go down a lot, that the FA are able to throw the book at him. I think West Ham are being a bit hypocritical here.
  9. Whilst I don't think it was a red card, it just seems like karma to me for all the pushing etc. Carroll always seems to get away with, but then falls so easily with very little contact made on him. He likes to give, but not to recieve.
  10. Blinking hell what more do some of you want from her? She sends out a message to the fans and people are basically still calling her a liar: oh she is only saying this or that but she doesn't really mean it. What has changed since her fathers death until now? She has had plenty of time to sell the club if that was her intention before now, and having NC around wasn't as though he was frigging Superman warding off all attempts to stop her selling, and now he's been ousted she can now freely sell the club. She had this capability before now! I hope now that the club is more friendly towards the fans as I always felt NC didn't give a toss about us, but to some that was acceptable as long as we were being fed by the press that things were being done the Southampton way, or was it the NC way. I for one am grateful for this letter, do you think NC would ever even acknowledge us in such a way, he even classed his manager as just another head of department!
  11. So the only answer some people would accept from her would be:" I have no interest in Southampton FC and I am actively looking to sell ASAP" Why don't people believe what she has said?
  12. I have been following most of the threeads in the last 2 days and what has surprised me most is some of the comments made torwards our owner and the apparent love in for NC. People have commented on her weight, the fact that she might ready to sell the club, the fact that she knows little about football etc. How is this any different than Abramovitch (spelling) at Chelsea or other owners of clubs. Also most people in the past have vented their spleen at how NC treated the likes of Matty and Franny, but have they lost the feeling of unhappiness just because they feel the wheels might be coming off at the mo? The fact that she wants to be more involved, or may want to be more involved, may have upset NC, but if Markus was still alive would NC have told him to keep out? Surely as the now owner, she should be allowed the same privelages, well not privelages because it is her club! How would people feel for example if they bought their own business, but the person in charge told you to bugger off and leave them alone, even though that person at the helm put no money in? And if she just wanted to make the money back that Markus paid, then all she needs to do is sell Shaw for the £30mil that is being bandied about and just leave.
  13. Sorry I didn't know what it meant by her being a non executive chairman, when I looked what that meant i could only find: A non executive chairman does not have any power in the company but may be the majority shareholder or a key adviser to the chairman who holds all the authority ultimately in the company concerned. Therefore just assumed she couldn't act on her own even though she owned the club. Oh dear a lot of players could be gone before we steady the ship!
  14. If there is to be a mass exodus of players who will the agents and enquiring clubs be dealing with, surely there is no one to contact at the club until a new chairman is in place. The new chairman could be someone better than NC, we just don't know. Lets face it none of us are going to be able to alter the outcome. Do they interview for a new guy, if so who is out there ?
