  1. My understanding of this is that generally in jury trials there are at least a few jurors who would be able to explain to the others "complicated" terms such as reasonable doubt, and would have been taking notes enabling them to get a better understanding of the defence of marital coercion which in fairness to them is quite an unusual concept and can easily imply the necessity of force or specific threats. In this case, embarrassingly it seems as if no one was capable of understanding exactly what they had been instructed to do. Also, the high profile nature of the case might have contributed to some jurors feeling overawed by the situation and apprehensive at reaching the 'wrong' conclusion.
  2. This. All about the merch rights. How about a Becks Beret?
  3. Haha! Sorry I forgot. Even so putting in a good performance isn't really a shock so I think Milts shouldn't give up his dayjob just yet, and maybe return Mystic Meg's second hand robes... although he can keep her knickers if he wants. Dirter.
  4. I bloody wish! Our school did have this fella teaching there though: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/8864344.Teacher_in_sex_case_moves_on/ Oh and thinking about it, this guy worked at my school just before I started there. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-491682/My-years-torment-says-girl-ran-away-maths-teacher.html
  5. I was just thinking that! I felt like a peacemaker when Barry started addressing me as if I was the chairman of the debate. I feel like I've hit the big time! Woot woot!
  6. How about a 'I Know Liverpool the Bestest' Thread, where you two can battle it out to the bitter end and that. Winner gets a Liverpool shirt. (For ease this will be a current season Saints shirt with SCOUSE written on it in tippex.)
  7. This. A perfectly decent right back and more than adequate cover at right mid when needed.
  8. At least they're honest about it. And realistically I reckon a fair number of people would do the same, why put yourself at risk of losing out financially, spending 12 hours a day at work when the government will pay the same, or at least an amount you can have what you consider to be a decent lifestyle on. The system is what is wrong.
  9. I had a cup of tea this morning. Twinings English Breakfast it was and it was lovely. Didn't have any leaves in it though, did you drink it outside under a tree? That happened to me once and a leaf fell in my lemonade.
  10. Sorry Pops. But I've only got room for one Aussie soap at a time, and if it's a choice between some Second World War soap or Neighbours with Toadie, Flick Scully and Libby Kennedy to name just a few of MANY LEGENDS then it's Neighbours every time. Also, Lou Carpenter and Harold Bishop. Lads.
  11. Good for him. Always nice to see a player get a call up. What are his chances of playing though? I would have thought Sczenzcy would be first choice, but then again it's a friendly against Romania in Malaga. Strange.
  12. Haha! Brilliant! No chance of him coming here now!
  13. Does anyone else remember this local channel, think it started about 10 years back. Also called sixTV I think? Mainly showed adverts for Kuti's Brasserie, 'My name is Matthew Le Tissier and La Lupa is my favourite Italian restaurant in Southampton', 70s public information films, some weird Aussie soap called The Sullivans, Sky News updates and best of all Trans World Sport at a time that wan't 7am on a Saturday. Also there were some cracking student made tv shows, one of which I remember was filmed in the Tudor House Garden! Does anyone else remember it? Did anyone work on it? Is it still going?
