  1. The wheel has spoken. Disappointing 3 all draw to end the auto promotion conversation. Which would be worrying if the wheel didn't have a 0 per cent success rate. Screen_Recording_20240415_225819_Samsung Internet.mp4
  2. We did based on an excellent Championship season and now he's 27 and entering into his prime. But this is his level so unless a stupid bid comes in from the Prem (possible but we know he's not Prem material) I think he'll stay. The contract is a concern though, expires end of next season. AA has his flaws (he ain't a striker) but 30 goal involvements so far shows he has a lot to offer us next season if we keep him.
  3. Cole Palmer... perfect hattrick tonight. A player on fire. Chances of Southgate not taking him this summer are...
  4. Ok, I'll admit, I was out getting drunk in Reading all day and what little sport I acknowledged was the GN of which I only placed. Anywhoooo the football passed me by. So how surprised I am to get in, bang on the highlights and watch Leeds and Ipswich falter again and we somehow muster a last ditch winner. I'll say it again, only with less confidence than previously, we aren't getting autos... BUT... it is typical Saints to have us being strung along for a while yet! 😁
  5. Leicester really choking under pressure. Let’s just say we have won our two games in hand hypothetically, and we were on 84 points now, it would look a lot better but even wins against Leicester and Leeds probably wouldn’t be enough. That Ipswich game in particular killed us. At the time i said a late Ipswich winner wouldn’t make much difference to our hopes of autos. Now I’m not so sure. Autos isn’t happening but it would be typical Saints to string us along for a while yet.
  6. I’ll say it again, I have no tattoos but if Russ gets us promoted I’ll get a tattoo of him on my butt. I’ll include play off winners in that.
  7. Having a quick look at contracts, excluding youth, the players out of contract in the summer are: Alex McCarthy, Che and Stu. Personally I hope we give Stu a new deal, I think he breezes hot and cold but he's largely been good this season and still has another couple of years in him. As for 2025 contracts, we have: AA, KWP, Stephens, Janny B and Meghoma. Some new contracts need to be offered there in the next few months.
  8. Perhaps not but it beats spending money on unproven entities like Charles and injured players like Stewart. I don't think we will have him next season (if we don't go up), it's just wishful thinking.
  9. I know we have an obligation on THB if we get promoted but I do hope we push to sign him anyway if we don't go up. Yes he'll have Prem offers and yes we won't be able to compete if that happens, I'm just hoping, based on nothing but blind hope, that he finds he's happy here and is willing to help us push on next season. I can't see it but I do think talks will occur at the very least. I still can't believe Burnley didn't sign him.
  10. I was going to vote "I hate Polls" but I figured it was quite Xenophobic and personally I get on very well with East Europeans.
  11. Yes, for now we should keep faith in him and besides, I don't think it's entirely Russ's fault for the predicaments we've found ourselves in this season. Our transfers have been poor bar loans. Russ came in in the summer, completely changed the way we play football after an awful few seasons and, let's be fair if we had a fit Ross Stewart (or not signed a crock) we'd arguably be in the automatic promotion places. Russ makes some odd decisions and he seems to have his favourites (which is not always a good thing) but maybe some stability is what's required going forwards. The worry I have with not going up is that we will need another almost complete player rebuild in the summer (Probably 7/8 new players) and I worry that the possible drop in quality will hamper Russ's attempts to dominate games (possesionally) than we have been doing this season. We need the BEST Prem loans we can get and some decent permanent players picked up for little money. It's a monumental task but right now I think at least holding on to the manager will give us some sense of stability. IFIFIFIFIIFIFIFIFIFIFIFIIFIF IF we go up, then I do hope the increase in 'quality' players that we will be likely to sign (we can only hope) will help Russ achieve the style he wants - but boy would we need that extra quality, even if KWP stays and with THB staying permanently.
  12. Max points: Leicester - 103 Leeds - 99 (if they draw tonight) Ipswich - 102 Us - 96. However if we win every game then Leeds max is also 96 and Leicester is 100. WE CAN DO THIS! 😁
