  1. The Government response to COVID was bullshit - and people stopped taking measles vaccines years earlier after (a now unfounded) reports that the MMR vaccine was causing autism and other health issues. DOn't like what he says - then don;t read it/listen to it. I don't and his views don't change my thoughts of him or how pleasant he has been the number of times I bumped into him.
  2. Utter t***s. MLT should always be remembered as one of the greatest, most loyal Saints players of all time and a nice guy to boot. SO he has differing views from the mainstream....so what: is that not free speech? SO long as he is not harming anyone else or posting racist/hate speech it is what it is. You don't have to agree with it or even like it but that does not detract what he did for Saints and how much enjoyment he gave those of us fortunate to witness his incredible skills and loyalty. Lets face it.....how many on here won't tolerate a different view from theirs?
  3. 10000% this - this is the most exciting season in years and we are seeing true, consistent attacking football for the first time since Nicholl (IMO). We may not go up this year, but the entertainment value has been immense and it's lovely to actually win a load of games as opposed to trying to hold on for a valiant 1-0 defeat. If we don't go up it's not the end of the world. This is a proper league - the naysayers will say 'if we don't go up the team will be picked apart' and this may be true but we also have talented youngsters we can use more next season. The Prem is not the be all and end all of everything (except money and money can't buy you happiness - it helps for sure, but it's not everything)
  4. I think you are in a minority on this one. How e paid 23 million for this guy is beyond belief. He has shown no improvement since he joined us and his decision making is non-existent. Gets the ball and runs and typically ends up giving it away. I just don't see how he is a better option than Dibling/SAA.
  5. Don't see much difference between Sulemana and George Lawrence. Both looked electric but absolutely no football brain at all
  6. What a game.....you can't fault the entertainment this year but Saints are still poor. Glad to eat humble pie re. Rothwell!
  7. This is all on Martin and his pathetic game management. Great goal but given away yet again. Shocking, simply shocking. And to compound it the idiot brings on Rothwell who has been absolutely terrible since he joined (bar a 30 minute spell). Real questions have to be asked of this manager and team
  8. I cannot believe he made those subs....we have 3 weeks until our next game. SMallbone was bossing the center and Brooks was providing cover. The headless chicken comes on and immediately is at fault for the goal.
  9. The subs by Martin were uncalled for and disrupted Saints. Sulemana showing we were robbed for the fee we paid. This is not a good performance - no way should Saints be going up this year. We would be destroyed next season.
  10. But there is no VAR so why always looking for the negative?
  11. They sacked Tony Mowbray and have been terrible since
  12. Funny - but it's not real.
  13. What is this odd obsession with 'the next Stoke'? We will have one more year of parachute payments and should be strong again next year. Personally, I will take this entertainment, winning games and proper stadiums and fans over the overhyped, non-competitive Prem. The only thing going for the Prem is the money.
  14. Frankly, this has been the most interesting season for many years re. Saints. I love this League - if we go up, fantastic but I'll be quite happy if we stay in the Championship for one more season. Yes, we'll lose more players but then hopefully the likes of Meghoma, SAA, Dibling and Ballard will get more of a chance. The Prem is overhyped garbage and we would get tanked most weeks.
  15. Very sad news - RIP. I remember him as a player and then manager. True non nonsense CB and as others have said, had a great partnership with Dave Watson. As a manager, some of the play was unbelievable but what I remember most is his fall out with Mark Dennis and the demonstration at the Dell calling for Dennis to be reinstated (where I got bitten by a police dog!). Only after he left did it become clear what a great job he did.
