  1. How do you know that he wants to leave?
  2. Well, we'll want to get the next new guy in before the transfer window opens, so we're on a pretty tight deadline. I'll order a banner today.
  3. Considering the amount we have to pay when we sack them, this is kind of understandable.
  4. Pahaars is in my top three all time favourite players, so I would be excited to see him take the job but worried that he would be poorly treated if he wasn't an immediate success.
  5. Wesley Hoedt, Wesley Hoedt, Playing for the saints, WH,WH, Centre of defence, He's gonna stop you scoring and he hates Pompey.
  6. If we have to let the team down by singing about this bull**** instead of supporting them, I'd rather it were funny and original than just abusive.
  7. If Liverpool meet our valuation and no other club does, we should sell him to them. It's just good business that way. If they have tapped him up, we should pursue any potential complaint against them, on the basis that they have reduced our competitiveness unfairly. Neither situation is personal, and it doesn't make any sense to me to be ****ed off at Liverpool for paying good money for our players. If we make 60m out of Liverpool and buy 2 or 3 decent players with the money, we've improved our squad, and I'm happy with that.
  8. Doesn't say anything about our academy at all. Reflects badly on Mourinho's man management that he picks out a juniorish member of the team for criticism. Teams should win together and lose together.
  9. Although you are right that the rule was originally brought in to stop goal hanging, the fact that defenders rely on the rule's fair application means that you can't just always give the forward the advantage. There are difficult decisions, and there are easy ones. The one in the final was an easy one and it should have been possible to get it right, whether using a video replay or the officials keeping up with the game.

I still think that Puel is a good manager, as was Koeman.
  11. Are you sure it isn't 6? Home and away Europa fixtures?
  12. Well Puel has played a lot more fixtures and has rotated the squad brilliantly and given the academy players a chance. I thought Koeman was a good manager too, by the way.
  13. I like Puel, and I think the problem we have right now is really down to Rodriguez and Long's form coupled with the injury to Austin. I'm happy with the organisation that he has the team playing with and the chances created. Give him at least a season to show what he can do, so far I'm fairly impressed. I'd like to see us buy a striker in January.
  14. We haven't sold him yet. When he goes it will be for good money and we'll probably buy two great new players with it. If you're the sort of fan who panics that we're going to lose our best players, being a fan of Southampton FC is going to be a really **** experience. He is a top player. Let's hope he stays for a couple more seasons, and in the meantime enjoy watching him play for us.
