  1. Great result. -Beat a team around us -Did it witout lots of first team players -Controlled game well with great two touch football -Players who came in did really well -For all the abuse Forster gets, he deserves a lot of praise today, good saves, commanded the box, support the bloke stop giving him grief -Important six points before run of tough fixtures -Hopefully all the doom merchants on here saying we had no chance and want Puel out will give it a bloody rest. Thank god the players and management team don't have attitude like some on here. Yoshida was excellent today, lead from the back. Brilliant performance.

  3. I would happily let Tadic leave if we could get Sigurdsson for a decent fee.
  4. We tried to get him on loan according to MLT on SSS a few weeks back but he preferred to go to London.
  5. Considering we are missing our best centre back for a significant period of time, have been without Austin and now without Gabbi, having lost so many players last summer and had our first proper entry in Euro group stages I'm not sure what people are expecting. Yes the footy has been poor at times this season, but with the introduction of a quality striker, Gabbi, we looked a thousand times better going forward. Puel, like any new foreign player may need extra time to adapt to a new league and has room for improvement.
  6. We started poorly and couldn't deal with their high pressing game at all, losing 50/50s and giving the ball away too easily. But it's not easy to play against teams that do that to you, moreover, they are a better team than us, with better players, there is no shame in losing. Redmond looked quite good I thought, Tadic less effective and Boufal, in spite of his undoubted ability just doesn't seem to be able to positively make an impact on a game, which is not great as a sub. I really thought the thing we missed today was more of a target man up front, who maybe could have held it up a bit more and taken some of the pressure off. Some of the passing in midfield was completely wayward at times.
  7. If Kane, Rose, Walker and Wanyama are out that should give us a much better chance of trying to get something from there. The gulf in class was massive in December though.
  8. He was a great player for us over the years, it is amazing how quick people are to right that off from their memories. None of us know about his behaviour at the club this season. Frankly if he wanted to leave then so what? He has been with us for years, and probably felt he went as far as he could with us. Not every foreign player wants to spend the majority of their career at one club and in one city. Spent his best years with us, and his final years where he will decline else where. He's gone. Move on.
  9. Great effort but so frustrated. Mostly we played well. Thought Davis fell asleep for Lingard goal, and seemed Forster should have been nearer the first? Really admired the determination and work rate of Redmond, United were scared of him. Actually think bringing Long on was good. Gab was knackered and Long pace caused problems. If that Romeu header had gone in not sure they would have come back. Its and buts... Gab looks brilliant with link up play. JWP had a good game. Full backs were brilliant. Ibrahimovic unstoppable at times. Gutted
  10. Any recommendations on best place for pre match drinks tomorrow? Heard Green man mentioned a lot, if its any good? And which of the several is it?

  12. Let's hope Blackburn put up some sort of fight, maybe even get a draw.
