  1. Sadly we are now playing cowardly football. Slow, backwards and sideways. The only one of players that tries to make things happen is Armstrong and whilst I like him, his technical ability is limited, but he tries. No one else has the courage. The end of the game says everything about this team, last kick of the game was Redmond passing backwards and sideways.
  2. Your easily pleased we played for the draw who starts with Lobg and Arstong and makes no subs until injury time.
  3. Romeu was booked last night for the tackle on Mason Greenwood not last nights tackle. Football is about opinions, when Hojbjerg arrived he looked good and then after a really good game Puel rotated him and I don't thinks he has ever come back from that.
  4. Like a couple of others on here I was a referee. VA should have been a game changer but all that will happen is that referees will cheat in areas of the pitch where VAR is not in play, Romeu's booking yesterday, He was dominating the midfield and that had to stop, hence the bookings. The referees are well aware of the results the premier league require, the Premier league is sold around the world on the back of Liverpool Man, Utd and Chelsea etc. not Southampton Watford and Norwich. Referees income depend on the Premier league, they are not going to bite the hand that feeds them.
  5. I read about this offer on here. I do not seem to be getting e-mails from the club,so I phoned the ticket office to explain the explain the situation. I asked if I could have the code so that I could buy an extra ticket but I was told they were unique to each supporter. This was fine so I asked for my code but I was told that the marketing dept. would e-mail it to me! I reminded them that I was not getting e-mails but I was told again that they would e-mail it to me. Does not show great intelligence!! But in fairness someone used their brain and posted it to me . I tried to buy an extra ticket but could not get it to take the code so I phoned the ticket office again. It was then that I was told that the offer did not apply to premium seats(Kingsland centre). So for the Brighton game the seat will be empty next to me. This was my sons old seat when he had a season ticket. I cannot believe how difficult the club make it to give them money. The marketing at the club does seemed designed to alienate season ticket holders. Rant over. I not normally a moaner but this has p--ssed me off.
  6. I saw my first game as a 5 year old the last game of the 1959-1960 season, I have had a season ticket for 25 years and I have seen saints through all the modes,c--p,good,great and awful BUT I have never seen us totally uninterested as I have in the last 2 seasons. My son and I spend thousands of pounds a year in tickets etc and whilst I hope for wins I expect effort and entertainment but for 2 years we have not had that. My son has already decided to give his ticket up( he has to scratch around for the money) and I have decided that whether we stay up or go down if Pellegrino is still here I will not be renewing if he's gone I will renew. He should have gone in January but that would have meant that Les Reed would have to have admitted that he was wrong again, making his own position untenable. I cant put up with a 3rd season of boring lack of effort football.
  7. Bertrands problem is playing on the wing with Redmond, I watched him bust a gut to get past Redmond, only for Redmond to turn inside and pass sideways. Redmond always comes towards Bertrand instead of moving away so Betrand can pass and move, by coming towards him it brings opposition players with him crowding Betrand. If we are going play Redmond and Tadic put them on their "right" sides, hopefully stopping this coming inside and slowing everthing down.
  8. I wanted Chris Hughton in the close season and still the guy I would go with, very badly treated at Newcastle and done a good job at Brighton. My problem is though that the last 2 managers have been identikits, is this because they were appointed by the same guy or is someone else pulling the strings? In which case it will not matter who we appoint. The total arrogance is identical to Puel's and an unwillingness to try something different is killing us BUT if someone else is pull the strings who we appoint is academic.
  9. Something in the pay packet!! Sadly many modern footballers are out of touch with real life and have only one interest, how big is the wheelbarrow that they can carry their pay packet home in. Premier League players hate Leicester it took away their " I want to play for a Champions League club. Football is gradually imploding. The sooner Sky pulls the plug the better for football in general.
  10. I never post because I do not need the abuse but with the season coming to an end we need to be aware of the situation. If Puel stays at least 8 players will agitate for a move, whether they get them is another matter. Puel is not disliked but he is not respected. His tactics yesterday was to play for a 0-0 draw ,as he did in the European games, when we went 1-0 down he carried on playing for a 0-0 draw!! Tadic has been good the last few weeks but he was shocking yesterday and Boufal should have come in as a number 10 not on the wing. We should have played Long AND Gabbi up front, probably taking off Redmond who was not having a great game by his standards. Puel subs are allways like for like and never change the way we play, City are a great side going forward but the defence is mid table standard, we played far to deep and gave Gabbi absolutely no support whatsoever. I had hoped that in Puel we had found a gem but I fear that he is out of his depth, his comments during the week in the Echo that he would use the rotation system again as he did in the beginning, even though it obviously did not work, shows a stubbornness and arrogance that as a middling club we cannot afford.
  11. He was in Staplewood last night
  12. This is exactly what I have heard not claiming any great knowledge generally but I do know on this occasion.
  13. From where I sat it looked like Davis. His reaction tended to confirm this.
