  1. Ditto, I need an adult ticket for my nipper who is coming down from Leicester, fingers crossed. COYR
  2. The announcement was regarding tickets for Brizzle Rovers. The Swindon tickets are still for the Arkell stand, as of Friday lunchtime we had sold about 400, guy in the ticket office suggested we might not get the open stand ones unless we hurry and sale the seated ones!!
  3. Fantastic City, as people have said travelling around is easy on the metro and tour buses, take a trip to Mt Tibidabo for the best views over the city. Loved the place.
  4. Best - Orient - atmosphere Walsall - great performance Wembley - we won silverware Worst - Swindon - dire performance Wycombe - dire performance and weather Exeter - crap game, but had a good weekend away, ****** forget Exeter, had totally wiped Colchester from my memory, rubbish trip by train and god awful game, wet, foggy and expensive
  5. Me and the boy out Harrow way, meal, beers and some snooker, silverspoons early on Sunday!
  6. I always remember picking up the coaches outside the Guildhall on Friday nights, ****ed on the way to northern towns, arriving at silly o'clock in the morning, hungover and starting all over again. Getting back sometime Sunday morning, real weekenders, god knows where the money came from?
  7. You've all definetly got the right guy. Top bloke who just stuck by his friends. Had forgotten the famous tank tops, bags etc, we were reallly cool in those days! Franks Dad used to cycle around Woolston wearing a crash helmet, forward thinking for the 70's. My favourite NS tunes would be by Al Wilson, Kim Weston, and some of the more popular tunes by Dobie Gray and Frank Wilson. Have several complilation CD's in the car which are a mix of true NS and crossover songs. There are some good clothing websites about such as Warrior and Atomretro, pricey though.
  8. Certainly do remember Frank, used to go to games with him including the FA Cup triumph. Last I heard of him was shortly after he had been made redundant from Eastleigh railworks. We travelled a lot with the guys from Portswood area late 70's. Blackpool and Bradford were the highlights!
  9. Yes, Andrew has been helped to gain a lot of independence over the last few years and is supported to get his tickets and book the coaches etc. It was the simple fact that he was not allowed to go to where the coaches were parked that caused the problem. I remember having a similiar experience a few years ago at Brighton where we were herded to the station and I couldn't persuade anyone I had come by car and nearly ended up on the train.
  10. Thanks for all the positive responses to the post. I did laugh at the reply seeking negativity. Its some achievement to get almost 100% of people agreeing. I might be new at posting but have been reading the forum long enough to know how unusual it is!! Nice to hear from some of you who helped thanks again for helping Andrew out, he is always good value!
  11. I just wanted to say a huge thanks to all and any Saints fans who helped out a freind at Millwall on Saturday. Andrew who has a learning disability got directed away from the coaches coming out of the ground and ended up missing his coach home. The information I have is that Andrew approached some Saints fans in a pub, whereabouts I do not know!! and asked them to contact his family back in Southampton, which they did. They then made sure he was ok and paid his train fare home, even taking him home to Freemantle. This was a huge relief to everyone and could of ended up so differently. Andrew supports Saints with a passion and has travelled very successfully around the country to Leeds, Birmingham, Southend to name a few. His confidence could of been shattered but he assures us he will keep going and he has learnt from the experience. Cheers to you all and as a Saints fan of over 40 years its great to hear we can rely on each other. COYR
  12. had already planned to go to the last seven games as I had an idea we were doomed, one way or another, tickets already bought and travel being planned. Well lets start planning the end of this dreadful period of our history starting on Saturday and then through to the end of the season. Win if we can, play as best as we can but whatever the results or the end of season outcome support our team COYR.
