  1. If he's not impartial for one club, suffice to say he may not be impartial when reffing others.
  2. I wouldn't say specifically against Southampton, but maybe the criticism he gets from us influences it now. He does seem pro Spurs though.
  3. Mike Dean career stats here: https://www.transfermarkt.com/mike-dean/bilanz/schiedsrichter/379/plus/1?funktion=1&saison_id=&land_id=&verein_id=0&wettbewerb_id=GB1&heim_gast= He's reffed Spurs 65 times: Given them 5 red cards (never a straight red) while sending off opposition players 14 times. He's reffed us 29 times: Sent our players off 5 times (4 being straight reds), while never ever sending an opponent off against us. He's been VAR ref for us 3 times and had the red here. So 5 straight reds in 32 matches from him. Ridiculous.
  4. Koeman sack watch. 1D 4L in his last 5 champions league matches. 1W 1D 4L with Everton in the group stage 2017/18. The Midtjylland loss for us in the playoff. 1D 3L with Feyenoord in the playoff rounds the 2 years before joining us. His European record is beyond bad. If they don't make it out of group stages it hits them even harder financially. The clubs a mess.
  5. I'd like to see the club ditch its buy young and hope to resell policy when it comes to keepers. They don't cost much and you just want someone reliable between the sticks. Nothing flashy. David Soria is worth a look. He signed a 1 year extension this year but by the end of the season he'll again have 1 year left so we could probably get him for £12-15m.
  6. He's scored 1 in 3 in his 6 years with West Ham. 12 a season if he stays fit. Not huge. I think he's getting great service right now with Coufal/Cresswell getting forward, Benrahma looks great, Soucek always bombs forward and draws defenders. West Ham really overload the box. Europe will hurt them if they take it serious, no way Antonio can play both. We play them just before Europa League starts.
  7. Still managing us because fans don't consider his press conferences boring. With next games against United, Newcastle, West Ham, Man City, Wolves, Chelsea I'd be ok with 5 points out of the first 7. We've then got a run against Leeds, Burnley, Watford, Villa and Norwich which is make or break for our season.
  8. Difference between us is Doucoure and Richarlison vs Romeu and our wingers. Those two are a class above and made the difference.
  9. Don't forget arsenal spent £27m on Saliba and he's never got a game. Totally bizarre recruitment.
  10. Looks like var has been binned. Not checking offsides ? If pogba can keep this level man u are going to kill it going forward.
  11. It'd surprise me if he's after trophies. He's been there done that and it didn't work out for him. At his age he'll be looking for that 1 final bumper contract to see out his career. If he doesn't get a good offer and we're offering a payrise he might just take it.
  12. We're safe this season. Bump this thread in August when we've lost Ings for relative peanuts.
  13. Bring in salary caps in domestic leagues so the extra money these clubs make doesn't widen the gap. With all the money flowing to the very top, maybe the rest of football can go back to being about the game and not the business.
  14. Only 3 teams have scored more 1st half goals than us this season, ManC, WHam and Spurs. Only 4 teams have scored less 2nd half goals than us, the 3 relegation teams and Burnley. I've long suspected it's a fitness issue. Our press is great and effective but it can't last and we fall off. Maybe if the plan B was to switch from full field defending to stacking the box we'd see out games better. Have Ralph coach 1st half's and Fat Sam take over the 2nd.
  15. Ali Dia's Saints career was 50x longer.
