Completely agree with those that have pointed out the redundancy of playing JWP and Davis together, as this has been a problem I've noticed during the past 2-3 seasons, as well. I would guess that the club thought (hoped?) that JWP would "win" the job from Davis at some point in the past couple seasons, but I've not seen anything that would lead to benching Davis in favor of JWP. But playing them together has never helped the club, no matter the formation. My take is that JWP is just a worse version of Davis, in that he is a worse tackler, less creative in open play, and a worse scorer (which is pretty tough, given that Davis is below average in that department as well).
I will say that I was happy with the 2nd half and think a 2-1 win would've been a fair result if Redmond hadn't been just offside for his second.
