Upside down Saint's Achievements

  1. Rather luckily the 89-90 season happened to be during the two years I lived in the UK, (I'm a Kiwi Saints fan btw) My first Saints game was a wonderful 4-1 win over QPR at Loftus Road. Great memories. Also standing in the Home end at Chelsea and having to be restrained from celebrating by a couple of mates when Le Tiss scored the equaliser at 2-2 ...
  2. I honestly believe the best option for Shane Long and a couple of our other forwards, is to move to an entirely new version of Football. One where the width of the goal would stretch from corner flag to corner flag. I am certain this would increase the number of goals they score by at least 20 percent......
  3. Yes he may have left us in poor circumstances but the fact remains that he guided us to the best league position SFC had been in for years
  4. Welcome Mr Pellegrino, Lets hope for a return to attractive and goal scoring football. At least the club has not let this appointment drag on too long. It would have been a disaster to have waited until a week or two before the new season starts. Hopefully he's as good as Pochettino.
  5. Actually that first game was Oct 89 not 1990........
  6. First ever post for me on Saints Web after being a silent reader for years. I started watching Saints when they had this style shirt so I'm a big big fan, like the away as well. I don't get to a lot of games as I Live in NZ, but lived in the UK for two years ages ago. First ever Saints game I went to v QPR at Loftus Road 14th Oct 1990 a 4-1 win, Shearer 1, Le Tissier 1, and Rod Wallace 2 goalscorers. Actually a fantastic season for a Kiwi Saints fan to arrive in the UK. Le Tissier 20 goals, Rod Wallace 18 goals.
