Nordic Saint's Achievements

  1. The move from the Dell to St Mary's meant that everyone changed seats. We got over it, no problem. So have other clubs' fans, more recently, like Spurs. Plenty of clubs have moved their away section to a different part of the stadium, too, like Leeds. They're happy now that they did. If we get promoted, the demand for seats and standing places at St Mary's will be greater than ever. Even if we don't get promoted, there will be no problem filling the stadium next season, in spite of some fans having to move. Let's support the Club on this. This new setup is the one we should have had in the first place.
  2. Most of the players look unfit, even by Championship standards, which is why we struggle to survive the last 20 minutes of games.
  3. Because it was deflected off Adams' arm and the officials have to pretend that didn't happen or the goal should have been disallowed for handball.
  4. No, it took a big deflection of Adams' arm. Otherwise the goalkeeper would have saved it. But, as others have said, the officials now have to pretend that didn't happen or the goal shouldn't have been allowed. If that costs Coventry a playoff place, they'll have every right to feel they were robbed. On the plus side, we tried a few long range shots instead of doing what we usually do and passing sideways. A lot of goals are scored via deflections, even by the very best teams.
  5. So, to sum up: good riddance.
  6. As you say, he is a 6/10, mediocre sort of manager, which is what his whole managerial career told us he would be. The owners seem to want to turn us into the new Swansea - a small, mid-table Championship team with good passing stats - so he was an ideal fit for them. Nobody's going to want to poach him away from us, so you don't need to worry about loyalty. The highly lucrative world of professional football isn't like the civil service. By ordinary people's standards, fortunes can be made in 1 or 2 contracts. Very few managers last more than 2 years at one club. Most get sacked before then and can enjoy their new-found wealth at their leisure.
  7. Do you really think that anybody cares that Wilcox has gone???? He's done his job and dumped a load of Man City duds here. He obviously didn't care or have a clue what we needed or he'd have brought in a decent goalkeeper. Good riddance.
  8. We could probably stick you in goal and not fare any worse. Bazunu is about as good at goalkeeping as Frank Spencer was at D.I.Y.
  9. We weren't just "brave" to line up with Bazunu in goal against Ipswich; we were f---ing stupid. How the Ipswich players must have laughed when they saw they were facing this clown again:
  10. To be fair, if Bazunu were playing in National League South, he might not be the worst goalkeeper in it. Maybe that chap you spoke to is equally bad. Of course, that's only a 'maybe,' not a certainty. There must be people in the crowd at St Mary's who'd save more shots than Bazunu does, but, Lumley probably isn't one of them. Portsmouth team-mate on under-fire Manchester City keeper's dark period after Ipswich Town nightmare The Ipswich players must have been laughing their heads off when they saw who was in goal against them on Monday:
  11. We now know how our goalkeeper recruitment is done. Somebody needs to teach them how to read the list the right way up.
  12. Let's be clear about this. He is not just one of the worst; he is THE WORST. No other club in the league has a goalkeeper anywhere near as bad.
  13. None of it counts for anything when you have a goalkeeper who's going to gift goals to the opposition. It was the same last season. You just know we're going to be stuck with him next season as well. If only we'd had a half-decent goalkeeper, what might have been.
  14. The Championship will be weaker at the top end next year and Saints could very well win it. We'd probably also have a better chance of staying up then. If we scrape into the third spot via the playoffs this year, we'll probably come straight back down again and miss that window of opportunity.
  15. Pompey fans will be hoping for 11-0 to better their record defeat to Leicester.
