Presumably because fans could then trade (ie. sell) their shares at any point, perhaps unknowingly, to one of the HNW shareholders, or someone else looking to get a controlling interest in the club. By ensuring that the PST buy 51% of the shares it also means that the whole block of 51% won't be sold to anyone else.
Oh my goodness! It only makes any sense at all if there is a 'better' manager lined up to replace Pardew. For what it's worth I think he did a decent job for us and I'll miss him. Thanks for all your work in rebuilding the first team at SFC Mr P.
I feel so sorry for the guy's family. Genuinely gutted for them. Also sad for those at the club whose appointments came about as a direct result of Markus's ownership of SFC - they must be wondering what the future holds, as do all of us fans.
Markus was a Christian and therefore his family will have faith that he has now gone to a better place in heaven. Our responsibility is now to take hold of the legacy Markus has left at SFC and turn his dreams and ambitions into reality. RIP Markus.
