  1. Not the best quality but try http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/southampton-4-aston-villa-1-motd/
  2. We're scoring roughly the same number of goals per game but this seems to say to me that the defence is not quite as solid as last season (probably because it's against better players) and is probably a contributing factor as to why we haven't got quite such a good win rate and Pts/g. Obviously this is all relative as we are still up there with the best in the league this year! Makes you wonder though if the call for a new striker is as urgent as the cover for Fonte? Interesting data all the same.
  3. One of my favourite goals of all time was scored by him - reminds me of the way MLT scored his goals.
  4. Doesn't this totally undermine their argument that CSI is not "inextricably linked as one economic entity" since it is money borrowed by CSI which they can't repay that has put Pompey in a "stronger position"... Surely this has to mean a points deduction?

  7. Ah, you're quite right. I actually forgot that FA Cup semis are now played at Wembley which may add a couple more to the list. If you change it to "played competitive final" rather than "competitive match" at each and it's still true. Carlisle is a definite omission and they might be one of a more select list who have done it in the same competition.
  8. I thought this would be a small list but there seems to be 19 club teams who have played a competitive match at both Wembleys and the Millennium stadium. These are... Arsenal Chelski Man U Southampton Millwall Birmingham Tottenham Sheffield U Leeds Reading Stoke Cardiff Bristol C Swansea Blackpool Huddersfield Grimsby Bristol R Cambridge U This is what avoiding actual work gets you...
  9. I agree with the OP. I think he is the sort of player who would be much more suited to playing in a higher standard where the movement of those in front of him is better. With respect to the Anders comparison, I've always thought he has the same sort of style to Xabi Alonso (obviously not in the same league as yet). The sort of player who keeps the team passing, retains possession but tends to sit too deep to regularly get on the score sheet. One way or another, I believe that we will miss him if he leaves, like when Liverpool sold Alonso. But whether with us or someone else I do think he will end up playing in a top division somewhere.
