This from Martin startled me in the Leicester pre match press conference : “If Jason (Wilcox) has to ring me one day saying it hasn’t worked out, as long as I can walk knowing I’ve treated people well and given them all I can, I’ll just learn from it.”
Thats not what I want to hear several games into season after a massive loss to Sunderland. We’re not a fucking training simulation.
Full backs spend half their time in midfield, it’s ridiculous when you’ve not got 2 quality DM’s like we had with Wanyama and Morgan back in the day(Poch had full backs level with Lambert at times), not to mention some decent CB’s
Easily one of the worst keepers I’ve seen in a Saints shirt in 50 years of watching. Since when did we “develop” a goalkeeper in the first team? That’s for other clubs to do ffs.
Was listening to tier2 podcast and the guys on there reckoned Bree was the best RB in champ until he moved to us. Wouldn’t write him off. Also looks a big lad who could possibly play in a 3 as someone pointed out above.
This Forum hates direct football, was very clear from outset of Jones reign.
The majority on this thread seem dead against possession football.
What style of play will the critics on here deem acceptable?
I know what you’re saying (and I have obvious doubts about his fitness, same as when we signed him from Liverpool) but hopefully a return to Saints would turn out more Mick Channon than Theo Walcott.
