  1. A bit of a vested interest here as I have daughters who have been at the RTC, initially the Hampshire FA one then Saints when they took over a few years ago. The girls are treated just as the boys are, access to all the facilities, physio, medical etc. They wear gps trackers and get video analysis after every game. They train 3 nights a week and play against other RTC’s - Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton etc as well as boys teams in the same age group. The standard is pretty high, several of the girls are in the relevant England squad and developing well. Regarding the adult team, they are as professional as they can be, full time coaches, all the kit and they play at AFC Tottenham. They were promoted 2 leagues last year as they were beating everyone and the aim is to get to WSL as soon as possible. Some of the girls from the RTC are already playing for the team at 16 and 17. So again they want to grow from the academy. Despite some of the negative comments on here about women’s football, they take it very seriously and are improving rapidly. If you’ ve got a free afternoon, why not pop down to Totton to support, I know they would really appreciate it Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. A sane and realistic view. It seems that so many don't remember where we were 5 or even 10 years ago. It's so nice to go into a game hoping that if we win, we might get into Europe AGAIN as opposed to we still need 3 points to not get relegated. The turn around is truly incredible and we have to believe and support Kat and co as they have totally and utterly transformed this cub over the past years.

  6. think that when Saints dropped their Women's team back in the Lowe days, Hampshire FA stepped in to run a centre of excellence for Under 17's and below. This is still being run today by them and they compete with all of the academy's in the south (e.g Arsenal, Chelsea, Brighton, Middlesex etc) and there are I think 18 of these nationally. I would imagine that this would be what Saints would take over again as it's designed to be a pathway to develop players for the England national squad. As for the 'grown up' team there are several in Southampton, so I guess they would start one from scratch http://www.hampshirefa.com/players/womensfootball/girlscoe
  7. Firstly, don't plan to stay in Manila, not a great city and not much to do other than shopping malls. As to the place with loads to do, then Boracay is pretty much the only place that fits the bill. Lots more choices for the second week, s has already been suggested Palawan and in my view the northern part Coron is very nice, although mainly fairly remote resorts, but I would recommend you go to Alona Beach on Panglao island. Nice beach, quite a few bars and restaurants with a nice atmosphere. As previously recommended learn to dive, one of the cheapest places in the world and the diving is spectacular, Balicasig Island near Alona beach was awesome. PM me if you need any info
  8. Manila without a doubt, 4 terminals doted around a runway, crazy traffic around makes transfers a nightmare and as for the terminals, immigration and security sheer chaos with inadequate air con. At rush hour, it can take 2-3 hrs just to get through immigration on the way OUT of the country! The best, Changi is the benchmark, but KL, Incheon, Sydney ( the Qantas lounge is awesome) and in Europe Munich's pretty good
  9. People who just stand on a moving walkway blocking it. The hint is in its name!
  10. Despite their years, AC/DC are awesome, just worry 'bout Angus dropping dead on stage
  11. Wrexham in the conference are now fan owned with nearly 2500 members so those of you who think that that's their level should maybe reconsider!, http://www.wst.org.uk/www2/
