  1. Have a word with Select Autos at Hazel Road, Woolston (just across the river from SMS). Tiny place but I know they do a few weird jobs which involves spraying of parts for helicopters, submarines etc. which require a high standard of finish, so your job should be no problem. Oh and one of the guys rides a large motorbike and at least one of them is a Saints fan!
  2. Impressive new training facilities. http://www.cockleshellcsc.co.uk/index.htm Now dependent on charity handout. Still they should feel at home with the caravans over the road and the broken window in the changing rooms!
  3. For us yes. West Ham don't play their penultimate game until Monday 23rd away to Leicester.
  4. Fine of £5000 (first offence) applies where six or more booked. Lost count of how many were booked as ref was waving yellow card at somebody on the bench after the second equaliser.
  5. Trial has been held with media blackout as it is linked to the charges against Saggy Chops, and any information put in the public domain could be prejudicial to the case against him. Don't understand why the case against all three of them could not be held at the same time as the charges appear to be the same, but perhaps one of our legal bods could expand on this.
  6. According to that Law Pages link, verdict has been given and Court 8 has moved on to another case. Details: Trial (Part Heard) - Verdict to be taken - 14:04 In view of continued media blackout it would seem to indicate a guilty verdict as presumably the case still cannot be reported as Saggy Chops will now have to take his turn in court.
  7. 14 minute interview with Wave 105 here: http://www.wave105.com/news/Pompey-Owners-In-It-For-The-Long-Haul/ Difficult questions not allowed. Simples!!
  8. Corporate won't be sold out yet - probably cheaper to give them a ring Tuesday morning (but you'd better be quick!).
  9. Thank you Nicola. Wear THAT watch with pride next Saturday.
  10. Think it was Peter Hood who used to do match commentaries for Capital Radio. Anybody remember the match at Loftus Road when Niemii came up for a corner in the last minute, hit the post & Killer (I think) scored from the rebound? He totally lost it and just ended up screaming his head off - couldn't understand what the heck he was saying but you knew damn well that we'd scored!
  11. Oops! Never could add up! General consensus seems to agree with the average of 85 though.
  12. May not be as many as some people expect. Just had a look at points total of teams finishing second for last nine seasons. Leeds 86 Peterborough 89 (third team finished with 87!) Forest 82 Bristol City 85 Colchester 79 (82 points was enough to win the league!) Hull 86 QPR 83 Crewe 86 Reading 84 Highest total was 89 meaning we'd need 22 points, lowest was 79, meaning only another 12! The average of that lot is 84.4 so round it up to 85 which means another 18 points required. However Saints being Saints we'll probably end up on 90 points and still finish third!
  13. Court case is in May - not sure what date but if (?) found guilty it would be after the end of the season before the Football League applied any penalty. Difficult to apply a retrospective points deduction when the season is already over, but if the Football League applied this the cheats would only appeal. Bearing in mind the new fixtures are published on 17th June 2011, its more likely that the points deduction would apply to next season thereby delaying the inevitable drop to League 1 by a year (if they last that long).
  14. Member of Mayflower staff tried to stop people near me taking photos as she said a DVD was being made of the night. No idea if true but a cracking night and well worth obtaining a copy if one is produced.
  15. Just back from SMS having been to pay my respects, and was deeply moved by the tributes left there. I hope that this thread will one day be read by Markus's family, and that it will help them to know that we are sharing their grief at the loss of a wonderful man. Thank you Markus. RIP.
