  1. Has anyone considered that maximising the home atmosphere may be a good thing if the team is doing well but could make it more toxic if the team or individual players are doing badly?
  2. Of course we probably won't beat Watford, and of course winning 6 in a row looks impossible., but how about we win the next 3 and then anything will look possible
  3. It's his job to do that, but how can he or any manager get Chez or the other players for that matter put the ball in the net from the chances they create. The players have to do their job too.
  4. When the team most needed our support, the crowd got distracted ( rightly or wrongly). I just wish they'd have that level of passion for the team. Just shows what a noise they away fans will make when they are put in a corner.
  5. I heard some of him doing the Bournemouth v Man City game for 5 live and he was very good
  6. I'm not saying we will finish in the top 2, but the trick is to stay in touch until the final 5 or 6 games, and then it's the teams that can handle the pressure best. It might be us Leicester and Ipswich look as wobbly as us.
  7. I'd like to see us play in a playoff final at Wembley. I've seen us in an FA cup final, a Charity Shield, 2 League Cup finals, a semi final, JP trophy and that other thing when we played Forest but a play off final would be a new experience, another one to tick off the list, and if we won it would probably be the nearest thing to a cup final win that we are likely to see.
  8. No, its down to us. If we keep winning we'll stay in the top 2. If we don't 2 of our 3 competitors will be above us,in all liklihood.
  9. It doesn't really matter because if Saints don't keep winning Ipswich will end above us as well as Leeds or Leicester. We can't expect 2 out of the 3 to drop many points.
  10. I watched the Arsenal game and he hardly got a kick. They are definitely not getting the best out of him. He would do much better with our passing game under Russ.
  11. Who knows ? Leicester have been going along untroubled with no pressure. 2 defeats in a row and they might start to feel the heat. 2 defeats can lead to 4 you know. Leeds look unstoppable at the moment with their improved away form but so did Saints until Bristol. Ipswich look over their bad spell. As for the play offs I'd have bitten your hand off before the season started to be a shoe in with 14 games to go. If we got to the final it would be a new experience. A good one or not I'll tell you after.
  12. Whatever happens we have to keep winning. One of our 3 competitors might lose a bit of form but I don't think 2 will.
  13. You're very unlikely to see the the like of it again. If you're young savor it and take it in because even if Saints go on to conquer Europe in the future you will always remember the time when Saints went 24 (and counting) games undefeated. If you're old and grumpy like me just enjoy it because this could be as good as it gets for us.
  14. The second half was a real treat, and I feel sorry for those that missed it. I haven't seen such prodigious young talent since the days of Tiss, Shearer, the Wallace brothers, Dodd and Benali. Russell Martin is sitting on a gold mine. Oh and that team beat Liverpool 4-1
  15. Difficult, but if we win our game in hand and at Leicester it's only another 6 points , which is achievable
