  1. Very much this. We at least got some exciting games in 2005. Les and Ralph have let these last two clowns squeeze the life out of previously decent players with their negative tactics. Very depressing.
  2. Whenever Les or Ralph issue a statement or make comments in the media, they preach on and on about 'the Southampton way'. To me, that used to mean the high tempo, quick passing, pressing style of play of the Pochettino/early Koeman eras, with home grown youth a key part. The recent managerial changes has resulted in the current slow, predictable, defensive play of play that's boring us all to a slow death on match days, with overpriced, under performing players, half of whom don't look like they want to be on the pitch. What does 'the Southampton way' mean to you?
  3. I may well be talking b0llocks. It's called an opinion. You should try reading and respecting other peoples opinions without it raising tour blood pressure so much. Much of your arguments regarding other teams in the position we're all in at the momen tare null and void in any case as Brum are (a) ony 6 points behind WH, not the 9-11 that Blackpool, Cardiff are, and (b) they play WH tomorrow whereas neither Pool or Cardiff play them. I fail to see why this is 'a warped argument'. It's both mathamatically possible and realistic in my view. I was trying to combine realism and maths, but obviously failed........................................... I feel we will win tomorrow, drop points to Reading who will finish top, but still manage to obtain enough points to finish 2nd. My OPINION is that Brum will do enough in the remaining 5 games so get level with WH who will finish 4th.
  4. Err, yes it does. You agree it's possible, as you say, for Brum get 3rd place due to them being close to WH, but then maintain it's only a 3 horse race for the top 2. In your analysis then, by definition if WH are in the race for the top 2, then so are Brum by being 'close' to WH's points come the final 2/3 games (maybe only on GD). Likely? Not really. I was just trying to put a view out there that WH, with their flakey home record, may not be the only team to look at during the run in. Brum will play a big part in the run in, playing both WH and Reading.
  5. So, Brum might catch WH and WH might catch us, but Brum won't catch us? How does that work then?? That, by definition makes it a 4 horse race............................
  6. Amid all the dissapointment of yesterdays result and all the talk of West Ham no being unstoppable after 1 win in a row, does nobody else think the Birmingham could well overtake West Ham in run in?? A win for Birmingham against WH on Monday would only leave them 3 points behind with a slightly better GD. Birmingham are regaining the fine form they were showing earlier in the season and I wouldn't be suprised if they pull level with WH in the final 4 games. It really isn't the 3 horse race for the top two places yet, just as the draw yesterday doesn't make us any more likely to finish 3rdor 4th as 1st/2nd.
  7. £20 on MoN at 16-1, 4 days ago. Mock me if you want, but i'm still confident
  8. Actually, he his a fully trained meteorologist who is employed by the Met Office ala John Kettley. I do agree though that he he a complete plonker. Unfortunately these days once these young met men/women get in front of a tv camera they seem to become brain dead would-be celebrities and the forecast becomes a side issue. Blame the BBC, they select the presenters from the Met Office staff.
