  1. We need to play for 3rd place now so keep matching or beating the Ipswich tally to get the best draw for the playoffs. Should be strongest 11 today with a 3 week break. It won't happen but Bree in for Manning and I am not a Smallbone fan so Rothwell for him. Has to be a win!
  2. Smallbone is the new Redmond - always with his back to goal!
  3. I hope he doesn't come out again and say he is proud of the players. First half - wrong team and wrong tactics. Got the right team on eventually but too late. A well drilled Ipswich side deserved to win. They chased down opposition, always found a teammate to pass and looked dangerous on the break. We were totally opposite - Che Adams and Bednarek when he came on are the only positives. To think 1 year ago they were league 1 and we were premier league - you would have thought it was the other way round. I shall be up again at Xmas - I hope to God someone has told him how to play this team by then! We won't get relegated as we are but lucky to be top 10!
  4. Just heard his post match thoughts (RM) - i dont think he was at the same game! If anything the score should have been 1-8
  5. Martin said after Sunderland that it won't happen again - well not for two weeks! And the answer isn't Armstrong and aribo
  6. Shocking - absolutely awful - manager takes responsibility and must leave ASAP. Get Potter in for Christ's sake - he would sort out defence - Best CBs on the pitch and still 3 goals conceded. Midfield non existent - how is Smallbone getting a new contract let alone first pick! Can't see any more points this month!
  7. Worse than the 0-9 scored. Every Sunderland player to a man better than ours. No-one deserves credit - suppose it was going to happen sometime and he has 2 weeks to sort it out. Must not lose to Leicester or Ipswich now - hopefully Mellis and Stewart will be fit enough to start one or both. Extreme sympathy to the traveling fans - you deserve a refund!!
  8. Would make three changes - Stuey, Mara & Edozie off - Fraser, Che and Charles on! Can't waste a sub on the goalkeeper unfortunately!
  9. I dont think much of them either - i remember at the Dell for a period we had a genuine New Orleans Jazz Band with the fellow at the front dancing with an umbrella - more upbeat and a good sound.
  10. Highlight of the day for me was AA running back 30 yards to get the ball of what was going to be a dangerous attack with everyone else doing nothing! As he scored the penalties MOM for me. We have 2 centre backs we tried to get rid of last season and KWP has taken a big dip in form. Will wait and see what the transfers bring us but it's going to be a struggle against bigger and stronger players! Talking to a Norwich fan on the train afterwards - reckons we will walk this league 🤷🏼‍♂️
  11. Thought Lyanco, Sulemana and Alcaraz all good today. Even Bree did ok. I really hope they don't try and keep Ely (awful every time!) The youngsters were are too lightweight in my opinion and need gradual involvement but it was heartening to see Amo-Ameyaw drop his shoulders and leave two Liverpool players for dead which created Walker-Peters chance at the end. The last player I saw do that was a very young theo Walcott a d he didn't turn out too bad. It's sad to see JWP go but I guess we need the funds (hopefully £100m for him and Lavia together!) Looking forward to winning some games next season and at least a top 10 slot!
  12. Cheaper and easier to get tickets, all the over-rated players have left, winning games, more youngsters from the successful B team getting games, better atmosphere at games - can we hope for a better manager? (low bar for that one - ps would like Viera!)
  13. After watching Wednesdays game (especially first half) Nathan Jones is probably about the best manager who would want to come here. Calculated gamble from the club. A good hungry excellent man manager who may keep us up. If not, what better bloke to have in the championship next year but last year's championship manager of the year! I wish him well and give him all my support!
  14. Youngsters were outmuscled by bigger experienced defenders. First half was woeful - lucky to get a pen. Ref was poor. Diallo, Djenepo, Elynoussi and Walcott (those two misses🤦🏼‍♂️) shouldn't be anywhere near the squad. Better with Perraud and change of formation 1/2 time but just how bad are we in front of goal - definitely need someone upfront in January. Nathan Jones is all we deserve - at least he is a man manager and may be able to get this lot to perform - at least we got away with it for a change tonight - maybe it's a turning point!
  15. I think we should go full strength especially with our attackers - give them a real chance to score a goal - hopefully more than one! The new manager will probably be in the stands so a good opportunity to see whats at his disposal. Also extends something for us to have a go at outside the relegation battle we are now in so full strength please Ruben!
