  1. One in Bournemouth on Gumtree for £25. Alternatively, contact the some of the local clubs who may have spares they no longer use. http://www.watersidettc.co.uk/ http://www.swttc.co.uk/
  2. I'll have trouble finding any new now because it's a discontinued model. It even says so in your link on the Sony site. Good luck with your sale.
  3. Brand new units were selling for £250 two years ago. http://www.avforums.com/forums/13757303-post20.html http://www.avforums.com/forums/14573082-post65.html Based on that, I'll offer £150.
  4. Can I ask what's the physical condition? Any marks or scratches? Whereabouts are you?
  5. I've held my licence since 1993 and thought I knew the speed limits inside out, but I've only found out today that some speed limits have subsequently changed. Significantly, it's the category of goods vehicles between 2 and 7.5 tonnes laden weight which affects me as I drive a Citroen Dispatch for work. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Roadsafetyadvice/DG_178867?CID=TAT&PLA=url_mon&CRE=speed_limits So if you drive a van much bigger than an Astra van, the national speed limit on a single or dual carriage-way is 10mph lower than in a car.
  6. Is a Citroen Dispatch big enough?
  7. You can buy a kit from eBay which includes the tools you need for less than a twenty five quid. Youtube is full of instructional videos. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/iPhone-3GS-Replacement-Full-Front-Glass-Screen-Digitizer-LCD-Display-Tools-/221044034520?pt=UK_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item3377404bd8 Something to bear in mind is that there are three parts to an iPhone display; the front glass (which you've broken), the digitiser (which is the touchscreen bit) and the LCD display. The front glass and digitiser are stuck together with adhesive and you will never get the glass off the digitiser without breaking it. I've done two or three, but not had much success because of things like the tape not holding the new screen in place so it fell out a week later ripping the cable and damaging the "home" button as I was putting one back together.
  8. Any interest in some Canon DSLR equipment? Canon 1D Mk2 N body, new shutter and mirror fitted about 15000 actuations (2 years) ago. Nick in the paintwork near the flash shoe. Otherwise in very good condition. No scratches in rear or top display. Recent sensor clean. If you've never used a 1 series before, you don't know what you're missing out on. It's built like a brick $hithouse and you could use it to hammer nails into wood (although I've never tried it). This is a professional sports camera which shoots 8.5 frames/sec with focusing speeds and accuracy far exceeding those of Canon's consumer models, such as the 550D, 600D, 50D, 7D etc. These are the cameras (I used to own two) Minty and I used to cover the Saintsweb matches. The only reason I'm selling it is because I've now bought a Mk3. Inspection and collection very welcome from Southampton and possibly London. Boxed with all the original accessories and two extra batteries. Price is £550 ono (which is about the same as a new 600D). 1D2N 005 by Al de Man, on Flickr 1D2N 004 by Al de Man, on Flickr 1D2N 003 by Al de Man, on Flickr _1DN1188 by Al de Man, on Flickr Sebastian Vettel by Al de Man, on Flickr _TT_3250 by Al de Man, on Flickr _L2_6795 by Al de Man, on Flickr Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS lens Boxed, in very good condition with no scratches to glass. £180ono Canon EF 1.4× Teleconverter II Boxed, in excellent condition with no scratches to glass. £200ono
  9. I could be interested if Scooby doesn't mind me hijacking his thread, seeing as he's asking for smartphones? What's the model/spec? Condition of the rest of the laptop? Price?
  10. Stay away from the casinos. All that bad taste doesn't pay for itself, you know?
  11. We used to be on the Intel Product Integrator scheme and Intel's support was second to none. At any one time, we could order up to ten Advanced Warranty Replacement boards and they would turn up next day without fail from Ireland. Rather than approaching Intel, why haven't you gone to wherever you bought the boards from?
  12. A couple of gems in this news article about the incident. "Speeding was identified as a possible cause" and "The Prius and a second Toyota also caught up in the 14-car smash were not thought to be part of the supercar pack."
  13. Try turning it on its side and seeing if that increases the signal strength. It may be that its coverage is concentrated outwards to the sides rather than vertically.
  14. ^^^^ This. For that sort of money, you could probably buy a second hand Canon 40D and put a 17-40mm L-series lens on the front of it. The image quality of that combination would blow the sh*t out of the 600D with an 18-55mm for example, although you won't get video and the live-view was quite basic. 40D selling for £320 17-40L sold for £390 If you get more in to photography and choose to upgrade the body, good quality lenses such as the 17-40L are something you're likely to hang on to for years and won't depreciate anything like as much.
