Well, my view is that we need a striker (or two) anyway. I don't think J Rod is anywhere near being able to have the sort of impact we need from a striker.

His dad responded to some questions on twitter about this rumour a couple of days ago and was sort of saying "I'm not saying anything, BUT wait and see" with lots of winks, etc. Sounds to me like there is something in this one and it could well go ahead. I don't think it changes much for us tbh.

Easy one to assess really. We competed well but not at all clinical up front. If we had been clinical up front in the first half, it could have been a different outcome. We're definitely missing "something" in the team at the moment .... really good in areas and weak in others. Positives to take though - Man Utd do have a lot of quality in that team and they didn't exactly smash us.

Have done Aberdeen away with Saints already - so would rather avoid that one.

Seville returned some of their allocation and they were passed on to Liverpool, due to the demand they had. Thus Seville and Liverpool fans in the same areas and kicking off pre-KO!

Am absolutely gutted to hear this. One of life's good guys and had many a great trip on the road with him. Will never forget the Aberdeen away game. RIP pal.
