I'm waiting for the SM posts from portchester bragging that they have gone toe to toe with a championship side despite the saints starting XI having an average age of 17..... 🤣
Make of it what you will but Danny Ings overtook me heading north on the M3 J12 earlier today. Ok he was probably just down visiting family or friends but I guess it's equally possible that he was finalising his loan move to saints.... (please accept this as the tongue-in-cheek comment that was intended! 🤣).
Match officials often get a lot of stick but what a fantastic advantage played after Alcarez was taken out in the build up! Let's hope we can go in to see a comfortable win.....
Cracking game and a lovely header to secure the 3pts. It's so right at the top right now, if it stays like that we are in for a thrilling end to the season!
It works just fine in rugby league with the referee signalling when to start and stop the clock. It would mean an alteration to the laws of the game (the ref would no longer be the "sole arbitor of time" but I wouldn't have an issue with that.
On a slightly related note, the difference between players attitudes to refs on football and rugby is huge, footballers could learn a lot about respect!
They were a massive part of my 6th form years in the early 90s, it was a crying shame that they didn't "make it" along with the likes of Molly Halfhead!
"Steamroller" by The Family Cat (a 90s indie band that were a lot better than there lack of fame suggests!) contains the lyric "And the saints, are playing at home today". Lead singer Paul Fredericks is a saints fan and regularly performed wearing a retro saints shirt 😁
