  1. what's the quote in here...something along the lines of "You don't see the quality of the training or the relationship with the players' and this is where Mr Rasmus literally fxcks himself as a leader and actually confirms that Jones is not the right man for the job. Jones had 5 weeks during the world cup to work with the squad. Essentially this is a mini pre season. Like everybody else I came to the Lincoln game excited to see what he had worked on. A true Identity, front footed aggression (What ever that means), a coherent shape, the ability to pass the ball in a straight line to one of your team mates, chances created from open play, players playing in the correct position, the ability to defend the box, a goal keeper with a plan when the ball is in his hands or at his feet, corner routines where we actually look like we might score, strikers who have worked on their shooting ability and composure, etc, etc...what we saw was even worse than when he took over...a complete cluster fuck. Fast forward two months and nothing has changed...not one thing. So Mr Rasmus do not insult us with "The quality of training"...that sir is bullshit and you know it. There is no way that Jones is manager of this great club in 6 months. We know it, the board know it and so does Jones. So for the love of whichever god you think is sitting in the clouds Mr Rasmus, get rid of the annoying, inept, narcissistic, little man and restore some hope and pride to Southampton Fc
  2. So how do we get rid of this clown then? It's so obvious that he is way out of his depth. There is not a saints fan alive or dead who thinks we can play 5 at the back. And to add insult to injury, when we do go to 4 at the back he continually plays players out of position. Does he do this due to arrogance or due to the fact that he is thick?? It's hard to tell. What's not hard to tell is that he is a PR disaster when it comes to the relationship between saints and us fans. It's impossible not to want to punch the screen when he starts talking. He see's things completely differently to 99 percent of the fans watching the games. I get the feeling he picks players who he feels are built from the same mould as himself...hardworking but ultimately talentless. He's that boss at work who passes on the opportunity to promote talent in case they steal the limelight from him. Everything is about Nathan Jones. It's fucking depressing with him at the helm
  3. Good listen that and impossible not too agree with everything Paul and Adam said. Jones is so far out of his depth it's unreal. Nothing about him says 'I'm a premiership manager'. Watching him last night on the touch line, he looked like a local crack head who'd run from his seat in the Chapel to the technical area and got away with it for 90 minutes.
  4. I am as sceptical as the next person about this appointment but thought he cam across very well in his first interview. Having the world cup break is huge for whether he sinks or swims at Saints. As he says, It's another pre season, so would expect to see a different saints team come the match against Brighton on Boxing Day. Good luck Mr Jones
  5. Nice to see that Diallo is a member here on Saintsweb...he's voted for himself!!
  6. Cant deny that I really like Ralph as a person but as a manager he's just horrible. Bizarre line ups, strange tactics, weird and sometimes non existent subs, appalling win record, etc. How he is still in charge is beyond me. If I was as bad as Ralph is at my job I would have been sacked months ago
  7. Absolutely nothing has changed since last season. We could sign Ronaldo, Pele and Maradona And Ralph would suck the absolute life out of them. Yes we all know that we don’t have the best players in the world but I’m convinced they are a lot worse due to Ralph. We just look shot of confidence all over the park. Each players First instinct when they get the ball is the turn backwards or pass sideways, it’s like it’s drilled into them to try and keep the ball at all costs. We go nowhere, look toothless and it’s frustrating to watch. I think at least two of the goals today were conceded because we were trying to be too clever with the ball instead of just passing it forward and trying to create a chance, it’s horrible to watch. No way Ralph should have been given pre season and I hope SR pull the plug on him sooner rather than later and by sooner I mean tonight.
  8. Really looking forward to this, despite the crap view you get from every seat! Anybody know the best pub to grab a pre match pint in?
  9. I'm not sure how much longer the board can justify Ralph being in the job. It's not just the poor results but his complete stubbornness to change or adapt tactics before or during a game. He just does the same thing over and over again. He clearly holds a grudge against certain players (for whatever reason) and has his favourites in others. I hate knocking our team but having watched Djenepo on more than one occasion I fail to see what he brings to the party. When Danny went off tonight the only change that should have been made was to bring on another striker to replace him. Why the hell did Ralph bring on Diallo?? Armstrong and JWP had the midfield under control. He brings on Diallo and we lose our shape and control. He does this week in week out. If (and I don't think we will) we lost our remaining 6 games surely he would go? Let's be honest it's not like we are going to replace 10 of the first team in the summer. Whoever is in charge needs to get more out of this group of players than Ralph is currently doing
  10. well that was woeful. I just cant for the life of me see what our identity is. We are so painful going forward it hurts. Slow, ponderous, sideways and then back, this is the Southampton way. I like Ralph as a human but he has coached the life out of these players, everything is so negative. No leaders, no passion. It's always been tough being a Saints fan but right now it's just bloody awful. I actually think the boss should go. He's tactically inept, stubborn as fork and clearly unable to motivate this group of players and before somebody asks who should replace him, the answer is literally anybody!!
  11. Another utterly appalling display. Every time a team attacks us we look like we are going to concede. Second best all over the park. West Brom attacked with pace, whilst once again we slowed everything down when we had the chance get into their box. Classic example in the first half when we broke and JWP could have played the ball into Redmond (I think) but he stopped, checked, turned back and before you know it it's back with big Vestie for some nice keep ball along the back 4. It's becoming unbearable to watch. We must be the most frustrating team in the league. For me the blame lays totally with Ralph. He picks, trains and managers the team. We look unorganised at the back, clueless up front and timid in the middle. He doesn't react quicker enough with his tactics. He can't change a game with his subs because, for some unknown reason he can't make one till the 77th minute. People say we can't replace him because who would we get?...I argue any young motivated manager with an ounce of tactical knowledge would get more out of this group of players than Ralph. For me a change has to be made. It's like he's completely untouchable or beyond judgement. I'm dreading Sunday. It's the hope that kills you but if we perform like we have been over the past 15 games or so, it's going to be 4 or 5 nil
  12. This. We look terrified of passing the ball forward. We break at pace. stop. pass back. recycle it for a minute and then lose the ball. What does Ralph do with them during training? At least under Puel we were well organised. It's panic stations every time a team attacks us.
  13. I just cant watch this shixe any longer. We appear to be the only team in the entire world not capable of passing the ball forward. Everything is so slow. Let's be honest, the football is awful
  14. utterly bizarre from Ralph. I can understand resting some for Sunday but surely FF doesn't need a rest? Maybe he knows we are going to get hammered and doesn't want the negative experience to fall on the shoulders of FF.
  15. Never thought I would say this but Ralph has to go. Yes we have injuries but even those regular first team players look totally clueless. The football is simply awful, if you wanna kid yourself that it's not go ahead. He continually makes poor selections, poor subs. Stands on the side shaking his head but he is the one that has been training in this boring, slow, sideways, backwards football. Everton didn't even need to break sweat this evening to win that game. I dont consider myself to be a bed wetter but we are heading down in my humble opinion. Cant score. Cant defend.
