You've got to laugh ;).....I had/have a theory, that Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim is in fact our new owner, and has bought Skatesmith, with the intention of turning it into flats, rebranding, and walla!!!!! we are back in the Prem, and our new owner in a hero in Hampshire.........

Well......one can but dream;)

Oh dear, poor old DP got a right load of stick back when the poopey deal got announced for pointing out that their big man may not be quite as big as our friends down the road thought, and mentioning it may be a little "dubious" - LMFAO

Thaksin has been based in Dubai for some time trying to do dogdy and PR related deals, Fahim has a nickname here.....

He wants to be the Middle East's "Mohammed Trump..."

Google the Hydra Executive - no ego at all that guy. Real down to earth dude

As it would seem people are alleging corruption all over the Premier League it would shock me if they vetoed their own chairman.

A sudden attack of principles? Good Lord!

Whilst it is in the Sun, the piece is written by Shaun Custis. Custis is not just a hack - and he smells something er.....fishy?

...good work Mr Custis...tho' he obviously got this bit VERY wrong...

everyone on the South coast thought: There is a God"

I can understand the excitement of the Skates situation but let's not get too carried away when we ourselves don't even know who it is that's taking over our own club. I doubt very much such a thing could happen in our own case, but, all the silence, mystery, does leave one on one's guard. Let's not forget our own purchaser will require approval before we come out of Administration.

Elsewhere. I just can't believe reading this morning that Stockport have sorted out their takeover already and begin negociations to expand their business.

No, no, he got it right, we just didn't think those thoughts at the same time ;)

Between the lines are they suggesting that the arab has already brought/bought a senior Prem league official on board to smooth the path of a dodgy takeover?

I do hope the Sun keeps making waves and other media look deep into the deal until it all comes crashing down.

If that is the case I reckon they won't be able to pay the wages by Christmas, and that would be very funny.

The club and the Council have big plans for 2018 on the back of new investment which could explain Richards involvement. Watch them come crashing down if these investors prove to be charlatans. Then step forward SFC.

the PL league is fast becoming a very corrupt business. I think that the deal will go through.

Dave Richards will put pressure on the other people below him and brush it under the carpet. I wonder if he wil be getting some really lovely pad in Dubai

With the amount of money sloshing around in it it's inevitable. It now needs an 'MPs Expenses' type-investigation from an outside body to weed out the corrupt b*stards. Wot'ya say 'arry?

A Poopey council official said on Radio Solent yesterday afternoon that they were the only club south of London that were approached because part of the conditions in staging WC games is that the stadium must be a 40,000 seater which presumably any Skates proposed new pit would be.

The new "owner " of the deluded down the road was filmed on his first visit to the ground in an ill fitting team baseball cap being schmoozed by Storrie looking like a man in an arranged marriage and on looking at the bride wanted to run for the hills. On other matters, a new manager is a must if we still have time and there is still someone out there who can help us back to where our glorious team should be. Bring on the new season and come on you REDS!:

Official statement from the Skates

Following misleading articles in today's press, Portsmouth FC would like to confirm that neither Dr Thaksin Shinawatra or his advisor Pairoj Piempongsat are involved in funding Dr Sulaiman al Fahim's bid to buy the club.

http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/?cms_id=78&qs_articleid=2572&qs_media=html

No mention of sueing TheSun for libel/slander (whichever one it is !!)

Straight up denial and specific to each person mentioned in The Suns' report suggests guilt to me.

Lets hope it goes very very sour for our neighbours!! That, and a new legit owner for us....good times ahead!!

Who the f**k cares. Mother Theresa ain't gonna be buying a football club in the near future and 99.9% of fans who go to matches don't give a toss where the money comes from. Do you think yer average Real socio wonders where the

240 million they've spent on Kaka,Ronaldo and Villa came from?

They haven't bought him yet, and the Real money is pretty easy to explain. Firstly they can name their price for TV rights, last year that was £130 Million, this year with Ronaldo and Kaka, it could be as much as £200 million. Also, people pay to be on the board at Real, that generates plenty of money, as many 'donate' to the club too (alot of these are some of the richest men in Spain, the same goes on at Barcelona)......and also there is the council, back in 2005 they paid the club £300 million for the training ground and that wiped out the clubs debt....

How do they get 130m for tv rights? Thats more than the PL generates

Because the Premier Leagues is a set amount, each clubs gets the same. In Spain the teams can negotiate how much they get, of course the top teams can make top dollar from it. You’ll find that Malaga might only make £20 million from TV rights, whereas Real Madrid will make £130 million plus.

Surely that's an even worse system than the English one?

Not according to Dave Richards on the radio just now who says he doesn't know, oh dear!

Of course, but it's where alot of the top teams in Spain get their money from.

Well that wil be the next step, especially as Man u and Liverpool owe so much. I think there was talk of it some time ago but they somehow appeased the big clubs. This will be like when they got the gate revenue to go to the home team in the 80's

The thing that makes it worse is that we are going to have to pay for the blo*dy thing out of our taxes, as the organising comittee have said that they want to invest in a new stadium to be built on the south coast.

So the skates get a brand new stadium either free of charge, or at little cost to themselves or whatever shady character is running their market stall of a club at the time.

Surely we have to be awarded the WC to have these things done.Have I missed that the decision has been made?
