These clubs are citing the AFC Wimbledon points deduction this season and comparing it to the lack of points deductions for Sunderland. Spoke to a Wimbledon fan who said he had been told as far back as last season that it was a case of when and not if the club were done over for fielding ineligible players - their admin is diabolical. If that is the case, then surely a 'Junior (under 17) (trust shareholder)' can't exist, whether early bird or full price..... There is no statutory provision prohibiting a child from owning shares. At common law a child will not be bound by a contract to buy shares as they are not 'necessaries'.
