Alan Curbushley rejects Wolves job offer?

Just been announced on Sky Sports, offered the job but has turned them down. WTF is going on here?

Was never going to be the right guy for Wolves anyway, but he has been out of a job in 4 years. Guess he must have given up on being a manager again, oh well still well thought of for his work at Charlton I suppose.

He was on SSN the other day, said he would be well up for the challenge. "been out of the game for a while and that would certainly appeal to me if I was given the chance" or something along them lines. Very strange that he has now turned it down.

If the expectations of the Wolves owner are true, then I can't see many accepting the job - just way too much pressure.

Apparently it's not good enough to se a club like Wolves towards the bottom of the premier league.......not sure what else can be done with their squad.

Curbishley's a bit like Keegan I think.

Those quotes were no doubt from before he actually spoke to the owners - obviously didn't like something they had to say.

I wouldn't want to go to a club where the chairman could burst into the dressing room at any minute and start ranting and raving.

Wolves have now given the job to the assistant manager. That will work well then.

I suppose it goes to show that sacking your manager is not always the best course of action when you haven't really got anyone better lined up.

Wish TC the best of luck though, I can't imagine it must be a great feeling knowing you are probably the fourth or fifth choice.

Went for coffee this PM with my mate who works in the back office at Wolves in a senior admin position.

Without going into too much detail AC basically said, "why are you interviewing me, just give me the job".

Those approached were told that it would only be until May and would then be reassessed. They all said get lost.

The chap who is now in charge has OCD in a major way and there is genuine concern about how he'll cope.

Warnock said he was interviewed but wanted in answer within 24 hours....but also said that as soon as ken bates approached him about the Leeds job, there was only one winner for him

Warnock was approached but wasn't interviewed apparently.

Curbishley is a very good manager, I hoped he'd get the job when Pardeww went, still hope he ends up at Saints one day, think we'd be good for each other.
