Interesting piece. How the reporters etc just brushed over how Ambram got his money, as long as football got some they were happy

Fascinating. The reaction of Cascarino and Kirsty Gallagher just highlight how utterly self involved football is when it will quite readily ignore all political complications and focus solely on the sport itself.

Syed is bordering on conspiracy theories, but the others are only interested in seeing football without any context... a bit naive and perhaps a little too easy...

He is one of the pundits paid to toe Sky's line that the Premier League (which they bankroll, of course) is the bestest thing ever, and no bad things must ever be said about it.
