Pity we could not do a PX with Villa say for Benteke. We get a much needed striker, avoid much of the Bournemouth " cut" and Adam gets his desperate move out of the club. Everyone,s happy .

No the Bournemouth cut cannot be contourned by that sort of manoeuvre. We can do what we like but at the end of the day if they aren't certain that we've played fair there will be a tribunal valuation. We're stuck with it unfortunately, at the end of the day someone has to give them 25% of the correct fee. I am sure that when they were desperate in the days of Lifelong Xerox Salesman we could have negociated our way out of it but now anything less than a lot won't get the job done.

#saintsfc I have, on solid inside the club information, that Pochettino is staying.

Interesting insight you say??

EDIT - I started from the bottom going up, so that tweet is explained.

I think if you read the subsequent ones it gives it context. Also, if a true timeline, would explain our clubs relaxed manner around Poch staying and signing the deal.

Really? Why? Nothing of substance there atall.

Im not sure if me finding it interesting was a problem or not but as you asked;

corroborating information on MP turning down contract and board being ****ed off.

Mclaren out of running for job

Board will not sell anyone they don't want to unless they have better replacement. "no player is bigger than club" his source said to him.

All sold money will be added to pile already available to spend.

Don't read daily echo, mail and mirror as clueless. Specifically named them for some reason which may suggest those papers are at least annoying the people behind the scenes.

Of course it depends if it's to be believed. Still don't know why I feel like I'm defending myself over finding it interesting. I watched a video of a man snorkelling with a basking shark earlier and found that interesting too.

Thank you guan , only just got round to reading thus thread .it confirms my long held believe we will be okay .i look forward to more of your posts in the days ahead if that is possible .

As for Adam . It's interesting that neither arsenal or citeh are interested in him . He has not been on Chelsea's radar . So he could well end up at Newcastle if he would happy to go to a top ten team .

I hope he has a fantastic World Cup so his price tag goes up and we get even more money from the scousers .

I'm trying to keep my believe and respect for Adam given the service he has given . But it is starting to dwindle this is based on some posts and veiws from some very good no agenda related posters on here .

Didn't mean it to come across as a critique of your comment and was actually interested in why you thought it interesting. But to be fair, at least you got to see the shark man with your own eyes. The info doesn't to my mind offer anything new.

exactly the same after the Everton game. All the other players posed for photos, signed autographs. Rickie and Steven Davis particularly good. Adam came out refused pictures and complained about the size of the queue for autographs. All the kids now have a pretty dim view of him. Given it was a 12.30 kick off not sure why he was in such a rush !

The strange thing I noticed on a number of other threads was the viewpoint were now trying to 'damage' Adam Lallana. The club have actually been very quiet on this subject. It was Adam who spoke to Blackmore, making it clear he wanted to go (unless those dropped phone calls were intended to be AL kissing the club badge over the phone), and then speaking indirectly to the BBC on Sunday underlining that he desired a move the second his obligations in regards to the world cup are over. Until then, a popular viewpoint had been that the board were trying to sell off the family silver, but getting taken advantage of as they bend over to pick up the shiniest spoon.

Do people imagine that the club leaked naked pictures of the sun? Or prompted a neighbour to hate the basketball court he built? The club want a fair price for Lallana, the man they made captain and gave a bumper contract to. They don't think a man with a 'difficult' reputation will garner that price. If Lallana really wants a move, he should keep quiet. His agent or Liverpool could remind Bournemouth that 100% of 3 million pounds is worth more than 25% of £0. Plus he could give up his 'Loyalty' bonus.

This kind of backs up my thoughts on another thread, these stories about club not returning calls, signing shirts and telling the club hge wants out are coming from somewhere

There is no smoke without fire IMO and these stories are coming from somewhere.

The way I see it is Liverpool won't budge from there poor offer and refuse to meet our valuation,we won't budge as that sends out a message that

1 we are weak

2 it's open season on the players we are trying hard to keep

The only way AL will get his move is for him or his agent to do everything possible to make it difficult to return, plus they are trying to do this without handing in a request as that will cost him £££

This is pretty shocking stuff. I and I think many others were under the impression that the spirit within the squad was excellent. The more I read and hear makes me realise that it really was not that great afterall. Whoever the manager is will have quite job glueing it all back together....perhaps there are some misfit pieces that need leaving out to achieve a decent end result.

I think it's probable that the spirit in the squad is good, amongst the people who want to be in there.

Maybe AL's agent should have been a bit cleverer when negotiating his last contract and insisted on a release clause of say £20m if a Top 4 side came in for him? Unless of course his agent never thought he'd turn out to be quite so good and just snapped our hands off when we offered him a bloody great pay rise!

Just out of interest do you know the exact figure Liverpool offered us for AL ? contrasting reports we are hearing, some say its £25m some say its very low with a lot of add ons, just wondered if you had any idea on what has been offered or what the club will accept (we are hearing £30mill)

Well lets hope so, but if the team captain - the guy who gets his name sung most by fans etc etc - is thought to be a disruptive influence, can we really believe there's much unity? There seem to be more and more stories of player unrest surfacing. The appointment of a manager to sort things out is vital and urgent now...lets hope for some news soon.

I'm intrigued as to who reported clattenberg. . Was it Adam or was it an other . It was reported at the time it wasn't Adam . However given that he appears to speak to the press at will. Is it fair to say it was Adam who reported clattenberg after all ?

Adam went crying to Cortese.

Since Mopo has left there have been reports that he had certain "special" players who he had a lot of time for leaving some players in the squad left feeling pushed out. Always got the feeling the team was pretty together during Adkins time but Mopos way of doing things might have fractured the team spirit a bit.

a copy of the "snippets of info" from https://twitter.com/TheFalseLibero

Bumped into club source today who gave me the following snippets that I will share over the next couple of tweets. #saintsfc

Firstly, what he told me about Poch staying was correct, MP did tell club he intended to sign contract. Club feel betrayed #saintsfc

The new manager will be given "lots of money to spend" regardless of who we do or don't sell. #saintsfc

He expects some players to leave "definitely" and he mentioned two figures both between £25-30m, but not an exodus #saintsfc

When I passed on someone else's thoughts on Cortese's absence in Lambert's open letter he said "all I will say is the letter... #saintsfc

......went through the club so parts would've been removed." Club wishes him all the best, but only him.....#saintsfc

Regarding other potential player sales, "no player is bigger than the club" and the Lambert left on great terms, others won't (emotionally)

Urged not to worry at all, "club is in its best position ever" there's money to spend without selling but all will be added #saintsfc

When suggested it may seem to fans club is asset stripping ahead of a sale he was certain it couldn't be further from truth #saintsfc

I didn't ask regarding a new manager as I was so buoyed about what he had been saying. I now expect only Shaw and Lallana to leave #saintsfc

His last words were: don't read The Daily Echo don't read anyone from Mirror and don't read The Daily Mail as they're clueless #saintsfc

Oh and my last tweet, McClaren is no longer on managerial short list #saintsfc

Following on from earlier tweets...he also said "we are only selling what we don't need" so may be other departures.....#saintsfc

......but they'll be made with better replacements in mind already or we won't care that they're off #saintsfc

All well-and-good saying only Mopo and SRL have left as of yet, but on the other hand nothing positive has happened as of yet...

Good to see the club fighting back at last but this wont please those who want to believe that the club is in free fall. Interesting that we are now learning that the close knit bunch of players werent so close afterall and that it seems there was a clique of favourites. Golden boy Lallana is possibly not the model Saints pro we all thought him to be. The current Saints board seem a pretty decent bunch of people and it is interesting that they seem to have little time for ship-jumpers and those not wedded to SFC. Frankly if Lallana and Shaw (both being tauted as level headed model pros) want to leave then, if the price is right lets get rid of them and bring in players who want to be here. If Pochettino led the Board to believe he was staying (and there was plenty of speculation suggesting that he was) I can see why they feel badly let down. Maybe it is time to back the Board and stop all of the negativity. To me they are making the right noises and look to be coming out of the media fire storm in better shape. Only time will tell of course but I see no reason not to trust them.

Thanks for that and also to Guan 2.0 for his usual excellent contribution. Always look forward to his, KBSS and Monk's posts - ITK but also well crafted and considered. Of course, their sources will have their own agenda but really grateful to them for countering some of the stuff that was flying around. That doesn't mean that some of the critiques of Ralph and Les didn't have validity but at least it seems the club recognise some of the mistakes made and I'm happier with how they are dealing with the Lallana situation thus far. The managerial appointment is probably the most important for a decade at least so let's hope they deliver on the 'high calibre' stated by RK.

Very unfair SOG. No fan wants to see the club in freefall. We are reaching the stage where many people will be happy to see Lallana go, and maybe are resigned to Shaw leaving but that's not to say it need have come

this. The silent period from the Board after Les Reed's "no one is going" statement could have been more damaging than is realised if it unsettled those players and encouraged the bidding clubs. The club does now have to go on from where it is, and there are some positive noises, but that doesn't mean we should have got into this position and we still need to see the noises become action once the new manger is in place. There is a need to understand the difference between negativity, of which there is very little, and constructive criticism.

I don't think SOG's comment was unfair at all, and I couldn't agree less with your last sentence. Much of it wasn't even negativity, never mind constructive criticism - it was irrational, way over-the-top venom. Accusations of "asset stripping" and cluelessness, and nasty personal comments about Katharina and Krueger, aren't on the same planet as "constructive criticism".

The only reason it has lessened is because there's a new lightning rod for the same stuff - Lallana. And because the Board is showing itself to be much more focused and true-to-statement than many had accused it of being, and is now (after only two weeks) talking to some quality managerial candidates - one of whom will help the Board make the very important decisions that need to be made.

The people who have turned on Lallana with some similarly nasty comments (not that he doesn't deserve a bit of a 'kicking') are the ones who will whine about his price after they've done all they can on here to hand all the cards to Liverpoool by making it clear that he can't stay with us. They're also the ones who are in danger of making it virtually impossible for Lallana to come back here if Liverpool pull out and nobody else (Spuds) are willing to cough-up the price.

Yes, mistakes have been made by a lot of parties, but lashing out at everyone - sometimes with outright nastiness - hasn't helped anything.

Do you seriously believe that 30-40 loons on an internet forum will make it 'virtually impossible' for Lallana to play for us again? I think people need to take a step back from this forum from time to time and see it for what it is. Which in the grand scheme of things is about 200 people (of which less than half post regularly) out of many thousands of fans.

I've lost count of the number of times I've read that argument - I just don't agree with it. And I was dragged, kicking and screaming, into this new electronic age. ;)

Forums such as this, for all their faults, are the only public barometer of a fan base, and they are read much more widely than many of us might imagine - by clubs, by media, by players, by fans of other clubs, by agents AND by Lallana's father.

And so posts on here inevitably influence things to some degree.

for the last 18 months we've had a whole squad of players falling over each other to get into the first team.

Academy graduates wanting to get playing time and others swearing loyalty to the badge.....

well the bottom line is..... if they don't want to play for Saints anymore, it's best they go ASAP and we get the best price we can.

having a discontent in the dressing room is the worst thing we need right now. Bring in those who want to play.

to those who want out .....thank you and goodbye !

Disagree completely. If we don't get the fee we want then we should keep them. It's perfectly possible for players to come back from publically uttering they want to move. Come on Tevez came back from being on strike to help Man City win the league. Maybe Lallana won't be the adored local boy he once was if Liverpool don't pay what's needed to get him, but there's zero reason he can't knuckle down and show them what they are missing next season.

How many times has it worked when a player has been denied a move to a much bigger club?
