Defectors Watch

Maybe, maybe not. If they'd notched yet another three points, chelskis final burst might not have looked quite such a formality. One point ahead of a side which kept relentlessly winning? And had closed a pretty big gap? Reckon a spurs win last night would have messed with chelseas heads, possibly just enough to make a slip.

Chelsea's last 4 games look pretty easy and Spurs are beginning to pay for their CL and EL campaigns.

Not a chance. Conte is a winner.

In what way are Spurs paying for their CL and EL campaigns? They just won 9 out of their last 10 premier league games....

They really had no right to get as close as they did to Chelsea but a fantastic run of form has got them close. Losing last night wasn't anything other than one of those nights...you know we all have them.. Chelsea lost two league games recently..one at home to palace..

They looked totally jaded after they went behind yesterday evening, as if they'd finally run out of puff. Their squad is a team and a couple of replacements who are roughly at the same level and a lot of also rans behind that.

I just don't boast sunshine but sure I have done more games than you. Land and sea boy yet isn't renewing his ST this year? Nor are any of your (imaginery?) mates.

Given your proliferation of posts maybe you are just skint?

We can compare ticket stubs tomorrow if you like?

That's probably more to do with the pressure of having to win every single game for months now. Chelsea know they can afford a slip, Spurs knew as soon as they slipped up they were effectively finished.

Pochettino in no Plan B shock - looked like he was completely bereft of ideas in the second half.

Have I seen that somewhere before

The plan b thing is such a talkSport level complaint. The fact he regularly switches between a back 4 and 5 clearly shows he is tactically flexible.

The guy has done a remarkable job with Spurs, certainly compared to what some of the self styled super managers have delivered.

Lol do you pin them on your wall? Keep a scrap book with all your selfies? And don't forget the receipts evidencing how much it costs you.

Watching the Chelsea v Boro game last night, and the taters were saying Callum Chambers will be having to weigh up his options this summer.

Bit of a silly situation to find himself in.

He has a big bank account & an excellent collection of selfies though.

Fonte receiving dogs abuse on twitter for not playing the offside trap properly. Shame.

It wasn't all his fault, but he should have looked across the line and stepped up. His best years are behind him, we were right to let him go.

Don't think he was suited to Koeman's way of playing and ever got a fair shake. Technically would have been in a better fit in Puel's system.

Opta says Calum Chambers was Middlesborough's best player this season:

[h=2]Middlesbrough: Calum Chambers, 7.07[/h] It says a lot when your highest rated player for the campaign is on loan from another Premier League club. Calum Chambers has impressed during his time at the Riverside, at centre-back and right-back, and he has made more clearances per game (7.2) than any other Boro player. Like Maguire, he is likely to be playing Premier League football next season, be it with parent club Arsenal or elsewhere.

Mourinho saying sarcastically that Luke Shaw's injury must be a serious one. Well tonight he is still on crutches so yes it was

That nasty leg break aside, Les and his crew must be rubbing their hands together at the thought that they dodged a bullet and made some readies along the way where young Luke is concerned.

Inter going for Poch cant see him leaving spurs though.

Sky in Italy understand Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is flying to London this week to hold talks over a proposed move to bring the Tottenham boss to the San Siro.

Poch wouldn't possibly move to a bigger club for more money and glamour and create a chain reaction of players moving would he ?

Must be really difficult to have been playing Championship/League 1 as a youngster and probably think you've made it, and then just slip away. Am I right in recalling that he scored our first goal of our 'new era'? Home to Millwall?

Now this would be funny especially if we had a sell on clause.

Sadio Mane & Liverpool

GdS believe that if Perisic joins Man United, Inter Milan will turn their focus towards Liverpool’s Sadio Mane.

Indeed, it’s suggested that the arrival of Mohamed Salah at Anfield is bad news for Mane.

But is that true? What seems far likelier is that Salah and Mane will play on opposite flanks for the Reds, while Roberto Firmino will be the striker, supported by Philippe Coutinho.

It’s also worth nothing that 25-year-old Mane is under contract at Liverpool until 2021.

Don't think they will be selling their fans player of the year and players player of the season anytime soon, let alone to a club below West Ham in the football rich list!

Absolute nonsense. Particularly the bit about Salah & 'bad news'. It's like these people have never watched a game of football in their lives.

Liverpool are probably planning on playing 50 going on 60 games next season so there will be plently for everybody. Why perhaps they won't even have to play their U13s in the Cup and get knocked out ignominiously in a 3rd round replay. WC season as well so I presume the season will be compact again..

So anyway, not really a defector but remember Krchowiak, that bloke who was pretty brilliant at Seville and who I believe we tried to sign? Well he had an awful season at PSG last year and has now been left out of their tour group along with Ben Arfa. Perhaps it's just a PSG thing but we might have done well not to sign him.

According to the Daily Telegraph Crystal Palace are bidding for Chambers. Would be quite some move for him from Saints to Arsenal and on to Crystal Palace. Arsenal to make decent profit though they report.

Not if the reported £16m fee is true.
