Brendan Rodgers - What a Joke

Just seen quote attributed to him in Times article about Lovren being a great player while at Lyon!!! Is he in denial about having purchased so much of our first team???

I would say he was two and a half times better at Saints than Lyon, hence £8mil becomes £20mil !

Utter scum isn't he. How dare he say he was a good player before he played for southampton. Vile man who clearly hates us. He is a sick f*ck.

I think I saw this, and it's just been misinterpreted. Was along the lines of have you bought him off the back of 1 good season..etc.. so he justified it by saying he was also very good at Lyon, which to a degree is right. He's just saying that he was aware of him before Southampton and that he hasn't just been a 1 season wonder!

Liverpool and Spurs were after him when we were last summer. We pursued him with the greater aggression and purpose and convinced him to come. I remember what it was like to have a bit of drive in the transfer market when it came to ambitious targets.

Had Nicola not closed him in the Hot Tub he would have gone to Tottenham or Liverpool IMHO.

Anybody who thinks that Rogers was unaware of lovren and his abilities before he signed for us clearly doesn't know anything about Rogers. Say what you like about him ( and personally I find him a right big head) but he has great attention to detail and a vast knowledge of players.

Don't be so sensible, it's entirely accurate that Rodgers is a joke who hates Saints.
