The Southampton Songs Thread

As much as well all love our stirring renditions of 'When the Saints Go Marching In' I can't help but feel sometimes our song choices get a little bit repetitive. To that end, let's see if we can't come up with some new songs and get them going round the ground from here. I've got two so far;

To the tune of Radio Gaga: "All we want is, Sadio Mane! *clap clap* Sadio Mane! *clap clap* Sadio Mane! *Clap clap* (Repeat)

To the tune of The Animals Went in Two by Two:

Any improvements on those welcome, also let's get some more originals!

Whilst I support your initial idea, those two songs (particularly the JWP one) are atrocious...

I'll admit the JWP is utter tosh, but I just think Ward-Prowse fits into the song too well to not go somewhere with it...

And I encountered the Sadio Mane one being sung down the streets of Aberystwyth by several drunken Saints fans, to which I of course promptly joined in.

I wonder if Pele has any we can steal for our Pelle...

There is only one song we need to add to oh when the Saints.

It reflects the City, it is well known across the world, it was a big hit in holland, the words are easily adapted, 'Can you hear us, Can you hear us' belted out by 30k people would become an iconic anthem across the world.

Quite surprised nobody has found a way to adapt Umbrella by Rihanna for Pelle yet. Surely this chorus would work quite well as a chant with a few changes.

I saw this suggested somewhere else, but they suggested something along the lines of "Rule Southampton!" to the tune of Rule Britannia. Anybody got any lyrics for the second part? Easy to sing, everyone knows it, wouldn't be too hard to get going...

We managed to get 20 or so of us singing it at Arsenal.

The other one we need to get going (especially against the bigger clubs) is "little Southampton taking the ****! little Southampton taking the ****!"

I am perplexed that no one agrees the rod Stewart Sailing would be great. Its not about players who come and go. its about the City and the club. RK chairman said so much when he said southampton is all about 1. football 2. boats and 3. the docks
