Kariat 3 - 0 Alashkert FT So if it is that tie who would have the balls to book Kazakhstan tomorrow?

Nobody, given that when I looked up flights to Kazakhstan on the possible dates of the tie a month ago the only way to do it was a 10 hour stopover in Moscow or Latvia and you had to leave lunchtime on Wednesday even to get there in time... on the bright side, they are a lot nearer than the other Kazakh sides who are out already. Oh no, wait, they're not. They're on the Kyrgyzstan border. :o

Rest assured that would be one of the few games I'd be waiting to see what Saints offered.

Maybe the Armenians will pull back a 3 goal deficit next week, then booking flights to Kazak would be a bit of a waste.

FWIW I think even I'd baulk at Kazakhstan.

Just tapped in the commercial flights, leave London at 18:35 on Wednesday, 17 hours flight time with a layover in Moscow in order to arrive at 17:15 on matchday and then fly back at 6am on the Friday morning arriving back at Heathrow at 4pm Friday afternoon after another Moscow layover. About £500 for the privilege, this is without considering any visa faffery. And that's into Alamaty to play Aktobe or Kairat (both start in 1QR). If it's Shimkent for FC Ordabasy (also start in 1QR) it's £875 for a one stopper, or £717 for a two-stopper which basically is the same route as above plus an internal Kazakh flight.

Pretty sure that would HAVE to be a charter flight jobbie, and we should be grateful all of them have to win two ties just to get to us. :o

Here we go ^^^^^^^

Re: tonight's scores, Apollon Limassol are 4 up after their home leg so they look a safe bet for the next round. Cyprus would be alright... :)

My biggest problem with the whole "booking flights" is that at the point when we're probably finding out who we're playing, next week, I'm going to be in Rotterdam at De Kuip. :(

Does anyone what time the POTS for the draw (1PM) are released tomorrow... It's at some point in the morning...

Not 100% sure but it's usually a few hours before the draw, maybe 9am-ish.

So draw tomorrow at 1pm or 2pm

Tickets go on sale?

1st leg away on July 30th?

Have you been in a bunker or something? Tickets on sale on Monday irrespective of whether we know who we're playing or not, 1st leg is July 30th and could be home or away.

I see. Thanks.

Presume we find out tomorrow if home or away on July 30th

Really hope the 1st leg is away

inverness CT would be an easy one to get to. if they get through and we can actually play them

There are seventeen teams currently left in the competition who are closer to Southampton than Inverness (albeit some of them don't enter until after the 3QR and some will be out by then).

Yes, the draw will tell us home/away.

All questions are answered here (other than what UEFA are playing at giving the draw time in a timezone that isn't the timezone the draw is being made in)...

That's great.

Thought I'd go a little MLG there, I know how people love it.

The point being there are easier places to get to than Inverness. I think Charleroi is probably the most likely "near game" at the moment.

Linfield would be good, they got a good result there.

Shame to see some fans not embracing the true beauty of this competition is drawing teams in the middle of nowhere and the fun you then have trying to get there, the most convenient trip is dull.

Shame to see Jerusalem thrashed, they'll need a miracle in 2nd leg back in the holy land

All I said was Inverness would be easy to get to. Not the easiest or the best.

Not paid much attention to who we can play but noticed a team in our wider nation is in this competition.

So on the basis of first leg results it will in all probability be one of:

7 Vitesse (NED)

8 SK Sturm Graz (AUT)

9 R. Charleroi SC (BEL)

10 FK Vojvodina (SRB)

11 Odds BK (NOR)

12 FK Mladost Podgorica (MNE)

Bound to be Vitesse on the basis RK has managed them. Mladost Podgorica would probably be the easiest tie (stadium capacity is only 2000).

Cheers, big news that, with Charleroi 5-1 up after first leg and Odd winning 2-0 at Shamrock around half our possible opponents are basically already known.

Vojvodina 3 up as well, and Podgorica leading by 1 from the away leg.

what teams CAN we get in the draw?

Only the ones listed. We'll get paired with one of those 6 numbered 7-12 in the same pot as us.

There are 6 seeds and 6 unseeded in each pot, they draw one from the seed pot and one from unseeded pot, mix them and pull the home team in first leg first. Because there are 4 sets of pots that number drawing applies across all 4 pots to give us 48 teams in 24 matches, then they draw the remaining pot (different number of teams) to add the final 5 matches. But because you can only play a team in your pot, our possible opponents are narrowed down already.

As for any other questions about the draw, read the thread.
