S-Clarke Posted 22 June, 2015 Share Posted 22 June, 2015 I think it's very harsh to judge him solely on his Fulham experience, there were too many variables at that club to make a sound judgement of any player. What I do know is that he was once one of the best keepers in Europe. Still at a decent enough age, so who knows. It was a sticking point last week - we only wanted a loan but Fulham wanted a permanent deal. unsure at the moment which side got what they wanted. That means that they want to loan him out instead of selling him about as much as we want to loan Osvaldo out again instead of selling him. And he still hasn't proven himself as a Premier League keeper 8 years later. He was crap in the Championship for a couple of years too until the takeover. Don't think we are, going by Reed's comments. “While Fraser Forster’s rehabilitation is progressing well, adding Maarten to our squad alongside Kelvin Davis and Paulo Gazzaniga will give us strength in depth for what will be a busy season.
