Saints fans were attacked in Arnhem no?

No baton charges though, and the police were very good natured about it. It absolutely didn't impact on my enjoyment of the whole thing.

I believe that our place in Pot 3 is now secure. Gabala have knocked Maribor out :smug:

Yup.

Now all we need are 12 other upsets and... never mind. At least I can stop updating the scores now. :)

Onto the Pot breakdown.

Qabala thru with 10 men against Maribor + Astana is pot 3 confirmed in my book.

Personally need one more to get Young Boys up to pot 2.

Good night for me 1Kazak and 2 Azerbaijani teams thru to Pot 4 for some crazy away trips.:lol:

Unless I've missed one you'd need Shakhtar and Saint Etienne to lose to get Young Boys into Pot 2.

Where did the BT taters get the idea that no one saw a West Ham defeat tonight, err they drew in Romania this year got done by them last year, recent history says otherwise chaps....... Or Is the London Stadium all magical like the Disney Castle and stuff making the mighty Ammers invincible?

The collective media masturbation over West Ham this season makes them being knocked out even funnier.

Ah yeah, forgot that Young Boys started from a higher coeff. No chance of Swiss teams for me as BSC and FCZ

Are going in same pot as Saints.

Couple of scores to trickle in, only makes a difference to whether we can play Gent, Panathinaikos or Sassuolo or not now.

It's likely we'll get a team from Azerbaijan, Turkey or Israel. I hope we don't get Fenerbahçe. They are a very good team and they have one of the most violent crowds in football.

As with anything, if you're not looking for trouble the chances are you won't find it. I managed to miss it all in Arnhem despite passing through the square two minutes before and 5 minutes after. :D

i think that is fair statement in England, but not abroad, i know Fulham fans who were attacked on the metro going to FC Twente away, and Spurs have had quite a few occassions;

What happened to some England fans in Marseille as well is a good example.

for "nice" trips should hope for;

Athletic Club Bilbao (ESP) 75.142

Braga (POR) 43.116

Dundalk (IRL) 2.590

are people buying flights and hotels straight after the draw or waiting to see what packages are put together - I assume the best value is in the former?

Bear in mind that some of us are time rich but money tight, so a few extra days in somewhere nice make sense - an earlier, cheaper flight (or to somewhere at a Ryanair "local" airport distance away) and you lose a bit on extra hotel costs and meals. But in Spain or Italy, for example, eating out would be no hardship and not cost too much. I'm just hoping for somewhere nice - my backpacker days are over, and some places don't seem so welcoming for single, older women footballers.;-)

Pamplemousse...your allocated task: airports... including low cost alternatives, and nearest major train stations. I could go to The Man in Seat 61 but you seem to have a finger on the pulse.

My offer of a beer to you both still stands (terms and conditions apply, cheapest local dive, etc, etc).

Pamplemousse has already said he's not around tonight.
