McQueen or Targett?

Someone had to start this thread. Poll please, mods?

Bertrand is quite rightly our first choice LB but when he's injured or suspended, who takes over? McQueen for me. It might be early days but he looks brilliant, especially considering he'd never even played LB before pre season...And Koeman said the academy wasn't good enough lol.

Let's see how he does when he actually has to defend before we blow too much smoke up his arse!

I'm talking about an overall judgement.

As above to early to tell overall but Sam is a much better crosser of the ball

I'm in the Keegan school of football, score more goals than your opponent does ... so McQueen for me, far better going forwards.

It's early, but I think I'd give the slight edge to McQueen. Have to see more of him defensively though.

I'm pleased that we have three players who CDAJFU, and in the present circumstances it's just a case of playing whoever is fittest.

I find Targett a bit ponderous going forward and I flinch every time he goes to make a tackle in the box. I think McQueen looks a better prospect as a modern day full back and, if he's intelligent enough, he'll learn how to defend as well as if not better than Targett. Not sure you could teach Targett to be a bit more confident/adventurous going forward. In conclusion I'd go McQueen for the time being until Bertrand's back, unless he has an absolute stinker.

Targett has come a long way in the last year or so, there have been a couple occasions where he's put in some fantastic crosses. Most of them are still pants though!

I'd feel more comfortable with a fit Targett starting against Man City, but none of us really have a clue what McQueen's like defensively.

Mcqueen looks like he could become a very good footballer indeed. I wouldn't be surprised to eventually see him back in midfield in the future, or a winger. Target to is a left back, and will be a solid one.

Nice decision to make. Not a great deal to choose between them. Both have come on a bundle this season.
