Tadic penalties

Every one of his penalties is ****e, even if he scores it's a weak effort.

I remember the first penalty he was given, away at Burnley in RK's first season - dire.

Why does he continue to take them? We were spoiled with the days of Rickie, but all you want is someone to hit it with some conviction. He just tries to dink it, or pass it. Utter trash player when he's not on his game.

agreed. I don't know why he was still on the pitch to take the bloody thing, although in fairness there were so many that could have been taken off.

Redmond should have been off before anyone, he had the game from hell today.

If he'd scored we'd be point behind West Brom with a game in hand and the Puel Out thread would be much quieter. Sims next time please.

Left foot penalty takers with short run ups are a disaster waiting to happen. Of all the players we could have chosen I would have had Tadic last. Have to question Puel on the selection. Yet another error, when will he learn?

tbf Koeman always had Tadic as his penalty taker when JWP wasn't on the pitch.

The rest must be crap at pens if Tadic is the nominated taker! Every man and his dog around me were expecting the worst when he picked up the ball.

He is costing us points.

I also don't rate him, plays for himself, not the team.

Anyone but Tadic...Jay Rod was on the pitch, surely a CF can put the ball in the net from 12 yds. Tadic should have been subbed beforehand anyway, JWP would have put it away. Truth is we didn't deserve to win

The odd missed one you can forgive, but he has missed too many now. Drop him, or get Rickie Lambert to do some drills with him.

JWP has never missed for us, right?

He will cost us the 8th rank and the 16th is only 3 points behind us. There were reasons why he should be substituted every game.

It wasn't that bad a penalty, I've seen much, much worse. It was a very good save by the keeper. Agreed though that it would be nice to have a Rickie/MLT quality penalty taker.

Probably have most confidence in Bertrand taking pens.

Because we were 3-0 up. Easy to smash them in when it doesn't matter. When you need bottle 0-0 at Burnley, inter Milan & again yesterday he bottled it

Remember 2 of those were hardly convincing - arsenal (in the league cup 2014/2015 ) and chelsea (away in the league 2014/15) come to mind.

And then I thought about who else should be taking them. Bertrand was the only one I could think of (who was on the pitch) that may be a better alternative. Pretty sad indictment of our team though!

Gabbiadini wasn't on the pitch when we won the penalty. People may think he should have stayed on (I didn't see the game so can't comment), but not sure you should keep someone on purely in case you get a pen.

I've never understood how professional footballers, who can all hit the ball way harder and more accurately than I could ever dream of, can't score penalties. They pass it pathetically towards the goal with the assumption that the 'keeper will just dive the other way.

You have a guy with a proven record of not being able to take a pen and your logic based on no evidence is we have no one better!!!!

To be honest - Puel, if that is the best you can do just go....

No despite all your opposition, Puel will still try to train Tadic as a penalty taker, and Redmond as our main striker. Nothing to loss!

In training it's Forster on the other end. No surprise that a low pass to either side is enough for him to win the training shootouts.

8 out of 8 of us in the pub all said he'd miss!!
