WTF is the tune of the old Paultons Park advert???

It'a HOOT HOOT at Paulton's Park.

anyone living in Hampshire during the 80s or 90s would instantly know it.

Saw one on twitter today i thought was funny (because it was so sh*t)

to the tune of this (and with the correct pronunciation of Fonte)

"Who is Fonte? Jose can't Hoedt me, can't Hoedt me, no more"

Born in Hampshire in the 70s, lived here up until the early 90s, before working abroad and still not heard it. The Youtube clip brings no memories of it either.

I close my eyes and see you before me

Think I would die, if you were to join Pompey

A fool could see just how much I adore you

I'd get down on my knees, I'd do anything for you

I don't want anybody else

When I think about Hoedt, I touch myself

To the tune of "I touch myself".

That Paulton's Park advert doesn't ring a bell, sounds more like a budget Jamiroquai tribute act.

I remember one that finished more along the lines of "Paulton's Park, it's a HOOT HOOT!"

That one does finish like that :)

(I didn't recognise the first 28 seconds either)

Surely has to be something to the Robin Hood tune?

Nice idea.... so, the original lyrics to start with then...

Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen

Robin Hood, Robin Hood, with his band of men

Feared by the bad, loved by the good

Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Robin Hood

Over to the SWF Tim Rices of this world...

That would be good if we actually signed Robin Hood :)

Feared by the bad, loved by the good

Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Robin Hood

Over to the SWF Tim Rices of this world...

Wesley Hoedt, Wesley Hoedt, a beast in the air

Wesley Hoedt, Weley Hoedt, wins the ball everywhere

Great at the back, and he gets us goals

Wesley Hoedt, Wesley Hoedt, Wesley Hoedt

Or, for the haters/knockers...

Wesley Hoedt, Wesley Hoedt, gave away a pen

Wesley Hoedt, Weley Hoedt, like having Fonte back again

Scored an own goal, this fella has to go

Wesley Hoedt, Wesley Hoedt, Wesley Hoedt

Although, personally, I like the 'Who let the dogs out' tune:

Who cleared the ball out?

Hoedt, Hoedt, Hoedt, Hoedt

Who won the header?

Hoedt, Hoedt, Hoedt, Hoedt

Who's the best defender?

Hoedt, Hoedt, Hoedt, Hoedt

Who scored that worldy?

Hoedt, Hoedt, Hoedt, Hoedt

I'm sure there could be many more variants......

When you walk through a storm, hold your Hoedt up high

And don't be afraid of the dark

At the end of the storm, there's a golden sky

And the sweet, silver song of a lark

Walk on through the wind

Walk on through the rain

Though your dreams be tossed and blown

Walk on, walk on

With Hoedt in your hearts

And you'll never walk alone

You'll never walk alone
